Job Description

Roles and ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities

  • Staying informed and understanding the business and user needs
  • Defining design principles and frameworks for your team that keep their efforts focussed and efficient
  • Breaking down tasks for your UI team such that deliverables are met as per the decided timelines
  • Creating and reviewing UI deliverables at different parts of the design process - moodboards, screens, illustrations, prototypes and animation/motion
  • Working with other members of the Product Design team to translate UX deliverables like Wireframes and Flows into finished UI with motion and illustration
  • Making sure the adoption of the design system and that its guidelines are followed by all members of the team
  • Participating as an individual contributor in key features/initiatives that are of strategic importance to your business line
  • Identifying process and workforce gaps and scope of improvement towards fixing the same
  • Coordinating tasks with the Product Graphics team and briefing them about features so that they can execute their collaterals efficiently
  • Working with UX team on features such that the business goals are met and functionality is maintained keeping visual consistency across the app intact
  • Coordinating and executing end mile deliverables with Front End engineering teams (Android, iOS, React Native) such that the imagined designs are executed with pixel perfection
Requirements
  • Thorough in your Design Process - Framing a problem statement, iterating & validating diverse approaches to a solution, executing the same and finally monitoring the execution to evolve the solution
  • More than 5 years of experience working on B2C mobile app offerings for Consumer Product focussed organisations
  • 1-2 years of experience of having led a team of 3-4 UI designers with workflow and task management
  • UI expertise and mastery over the use of typography, color systems, iconography and motion
  • Strong presentation, communication and argumentative skills
  • Experience of working with a design system and enforcing consistency in terms of visual style across teams/features
  • Awareness of current visual trends and UI guidelines across platforms
  • Hands-On UI Design experience (Figma is preferred over Adobe XD, Sketch)
  • Hands-On experience with Adobe Creative Suite (After Effects, Illustrator)
  • Hands-On Prototyping experience (Any of Figma, Principle, Marvel, Invision, Framer etc.)
  • Thorough understanding of Front End engineering requirements while executing UI to pixel perfection with screen responsiveness and accessibility considerations
  • Basic Excel/Google Sheets experience for working with data/numbers
