Job Description

The team is working on a few different areas that will have significant impact to create vibrant partner marketplace. The approach here is multipronged. It involves algorithmic investments, innovation & development of systems to support critical platform components. To be successful, you will need good technical knowledge, expertise in building and shipping large scale projects, good collaboration skills, ability to wear multiple hats and a strong drive for results.   • Drive For Results In this role you will be defining and driving key business results for the Partner and developer growth by working across the C&AI division to light up experiences for our partners. An ideal candidate will demonstrate clarity of thought and strong drive for results, while bringing together engineers and business owners from across the company to add value to our Partners.
  • Technical Excellence Candidate should possess strong design skills and the ability to lead both members on their team as well as across teams towards performant, scalable and high quality solutions to real business problems. Demonstrating a true curiosity to go deep and an ability to quickly learn and build upon past experiences is a plus.

As a principal engineer on the team, your leadership will be critical in ensuring engineering rigor and driving innovation in scale, performance and security. You will architect new designs, articulate technical proposals and roadmap of delivery timelines. You will also have opportunities to incubate new ideas for additional business outcomes, create positive impact through customer collaboration and deliver high quality of service through live site excellence. You will be influencing other engineers on the team and cross group, so you will need to create and maintain positive and productive working relationships.Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or Engineering, or 4 years of equivalent software engineering work experience
  • At least 8 years of experience as a software engineer/developer, coding an object-oriented programming language such as Java, C#, or C++
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Great design and problem-solving skills, with a strong bias for quality and engineering excellence
  • Excellent communications skills, both verbal and written
  • Effective collaborator experienced in creating technical partnerships across teams
  • Experience designing and delivering large scale distributed systems with focus on service architecture, deployment, scalability, performance and security.
  • Prior exposure to technologies such as Azure, WCF, Net, Claims based identity (WIF), .Net/C#
  • Demonstrable ability to own and deliver projects and results of increasing technical complexity
  • Demonstrable experience shipping software, internet scale services using REST APIs, Amazon Web Services & Microsoft Azure
  • Ability to learn andgrasps concepts quickly in a fast-paced environment is critical to success.
