Job Description

The Principal Software Engineer, Digital and Transformation works independently and has expert level capabilities and knowledge. Oversees and participates in the architectural design, development, and enhancement of applications.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Possesses solid understanding of the overall vision, business needs and the solution architecture for cloud-based solution. Uses this in-depth knowledge to solve complex problems.Utilizes knowledge of best practices to building highly scalable, robust, secure and sustainable solution using Azure Platform.Writes high-quality code for Azure PaaS Services with microservice based architectureBuilding repeatable deployment solution using ARM Templates.Transforms business requirements into technical specificationsEstimates technical requirements and breaks down work to user stories and tasksPlans, develops, tests, deploys and monitors cloud-based solution in a DevOps modelCollaborates with senior roles and Architects on various prototypes, or proof of concept, to test solutionsCoaches, supports and trains other developers and engineersOther duties as assignedEducation and Experience:Bachelor s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experienceMinimum 8-10 years of experienceKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:Breadth of expertise in the following:Developing & managing cloud-based solution with Azure PaaS, using C#, .NET Core, Node.Js and pythonDesigning and building highly scalable, available and resilience cloud solution architectureAzure IoT and Azure IoT Edge based architecture and developing solution for the same.Developing application using Azure IoT Hubs, Azure Event Hubs, Stream Analytics, Azure Storages, Azure Cosmos Db, Azure Key Vaults, Data Lake and other Azure PaaS ServicesDevice Provisioning techniques, Azure IoT Provisioning services and developing custom device provisioning services.Developing secure solution using Azure Active Directory and Azure Key VaultsManaging and controlling API s using Azure API Management ServicesMicroservice based architecture and development using Azure Services fabricDeployment of solution using Azure App Services and using docker based container.Developing custom docker images, publishing it to docker registry and Azure Container Registry servicesServerless computing and architecture, and building solution using Azure Functions with cloud messaging and storage platformAzure Integration services such Service Bus and Logic AppsDeveloping and implementing data orchestration using Azure Data Factory with various input and output data sourcesDeveloping in an Agile methodology with Visual Studio Team Services (VSTS)Setting up Disaster Recovery platform for custom developed Azure solution.Setting up Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Delivery (CD) / DevOps for cloud hosted solution.PowerShell and Azure CLIDeveloping reusable ARM templates with the help of PowerShellAzure Automation, Azure Monitor, Log Analytics servicesMonitoring and troubleshooting Azure hosted solutionVarious code repositories like Git, TFS, etcExperience in various cloud design pattern.Application Telemetry and analyze telemetry using Application Insights and other analytics services

Deep expertise, understanding and knowledge of the following:Overall Azure and cloud platform ecosystem and roadmapsAzure Cognitive API s including Vision, Speech, Language etc.Azure Machine Learning Platform including Data Modeling, Azure Machine Learning Studio or any other ToolsAzure Data and Data Analytics platform such Analytics ServicesDocker, Docker Hub and using Kubernetes for automating containerized application deploymentApplication Monitoring and SOP s for Azure Services App ManagementFamiliar withDeveloping Bot using Microsoft Bot Framework with CRM KB is Plus.Experiences working with Node-Red is a plusPreferred:Overall 4+ years of experiences with Azure development (1-2 years with Azure IoT / Azure IoT edge-based development)Previous development experiences with .NET, C#, WPF, ASP.NET MVC with other Microsoft Tools and TechnologiesAbility to work in a global and virtual environment and to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced & complex environment with a self-motivated work ethic; utilize sound judgment with an ability to manage multiple priorities with a sense of urgency.Willingness to global travelAble to be aware of all relevant SOPs as per Company policy as they are related to the position covered by this Job DescriptionAble to comply with the company s safety policy at all timesAble to comply with the company s quality policy at all times.Physical and Travel Requirements15% travel, including global travelOccasional on-call work required
