Job Description

This role is focused on the Design, documenting, implementation, monitoring, security, and support of Oracle, MS SQL and other database systems to meet the business requirements of the organization. Maximizes the performance, security, reliability, and availability of all databases. Additional technologies include WebLogic, Hadoop, and Elasticsearch.

  • Creates and maintains all databases required for development, testing, and Training and performs the capacity planning required to create and maintain the databases.
  • Creates, distributes, and enforces standards for user account, group, and database security and configuration for all production databases and for non-production databases
  • Designs, documents, implements, and monitors archive and other essential log file configuration, operation, and location.
  • Designs, documents, implements, and monitors backup of database and other database protection or high availability solutions such as replication, mirroring, shadowing, or RAC.
Essential Requirements
  • Expert knowledge of Database administration including maintenance, capacity planning, and performance tuning.
  • Expert knowledge in oracle Fusion Middleware, WebLogic administration, installation and configuration, performance tuning, backup and recovery methods in multiple computing environments.
  • Experience in Design, build, deploy, maintain and enhance ELK platform.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal/verbal/written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently with Advanced analytical skills
  • Minimum of 5 years of engineering experience in an environment delivering complex software products.
  • BE/ME in Computer Science or related discipline.
Desirable Requirements
  • Ability to deploy Hadoop cluster, add and remove nodes, keep track of jobs, monitor critical parts of the cluster, configure name-node high availability, schedule and configure it and take backups.
  • Good knowledge of Linux as Hadoop runs on Linux.
