Job Description

Equivalent to 10+ year s previous experience in a senior IT infrastructure role is essential. The role is essential to the organis .

The role holder would be expected drive compliance and conformity to standards whilst ensuring security and performance is never compromised. They will be tasked with creating a sustainable technology roadmap for their portfolio which will underpin business applications.

The role would have close links to operational teams both in the service and infrastructure world and would ensure that tooling choices delivered bring the function to a single pain service view.

Deliver technology roadmaps that provide 3 year vision for OSB infrastructure (across Storage, Virtualisation & Infrastructure Management)

Design and plan next step cloud transition

Contribute through the transition of business projects into technology services from design, through test and into operations.

Provide designs and implementation plans for solutions and digital infrastructure stack; including compute, storage, virtualisation, networking and endpoints.

Ensure traceability of requirements through design, implementation and testing phases of the project.

Subject matter expertise in Virtualised environments, all support systems and applications.

Ability to serve as liaison between Converging Infrastructure and systems support throughout the development and deployment process.

Comply with IT Infrastructure Architecture and associated design artefacts and roadmaps.

Ability to perform independently consulting, assessment reviews and assisting internal IT teams development, execution and testing of overall IT solution.

Manage maintenance schedules for all database systems including integration elements to applications

Support technical expertise to ensure future technology landscapes are considered in line with OSB strategic objectives.

Provide guidance to senior management on the selection of appropriate IT systems, networks and hardware in line with Group IT strategy.

Produce project - scale changes to infrastructure arising from periodic reviews of the IT strategy.

Guide the implementation of appropriate infrastructure and supporting technologies, processes and policies for resilience, disaster recovery, business continuity and system security.

Monitor, maintain and review IT change control mechanisms and support the installation of system upgrades.

Maintain the company s compliance standards and ensure timely completion of all mandatory on - line training modules and attestations

GSCE/GCE qualifications in at least 8 subjects (inclusive both maths and English) are essential

A Computer Science or equivalent technical degree or qualification (or 10 years + experience in a similar role) is essential

At least 4 technical qualifications ( Microsoft, Cisco, Citrix, VM or another main player) is essential

Experience Details

Equivalent to 5+ years AWS/Azure cloud experience in deployment and migration to the cloud is essential.

Equivalent to 5+ years of working with cloud hosting partners (IAAS, SAAS & PAAS) is essential

Equivalent to 5+ years of managing technology experts is essential

Equivalent to 5+ years working in a Financial Services environment is desirable

Equivalent to 8+ years previous experience of working with multiple of the following is essential: LAN/WAN network technologies e.g. Cisco, MPLS, LES circuits, IT productivity software, (Exchange, Skype for Business etc., intranet technologies), AV Protection, Monitoring and configuration Systems (SCOM, SCCM and OPManager), Windows server and desktop platforms, Database systems and associated applications, Virtualisation (VMware), Storage (HP SANs) and Support, IT Security (Websense, F5, Dell SecureWorks etc.).and Web Infrastructure

Equivalent to 8+ System Administration and Engineering in a highly virtualised environment leverage technologies such as Citrix and VMware is essential

Equivalent to 8+ years previous experience of supporting and maintaining storage (HP SANS/3PAR etc), and Corporate Infrastructure (Blade technologies & Web hosting technology) is essential

Equivalent to 10+ years previous experience of delivering technology focussed projects is essential

Equivalent to 10+ year s previous experience in a senior IT infrastructure role is essential.
