Responsibilities: Provide technical leadership and mentoring to the engineering team Help drive innovation and architecture of the new control plane framework Deliver high quality engineering with best practices that result in a highly performant andtechnically excellent control plane framework Develop software to implement control plane features and infrastructure Collaborate with QE teams to define, design, develop, document, and maintain the QEautomation and test automation frameworks. Validate the end-to-end the delivered technology Be the Custodian of product/feature release quality and continual quality improvement activities Drive quality into the SDLC as early as possible Coordination & communication with Stake holders, Engineering Partners at both USA and India Interfacing with Customers, System Engineers, Support Org and Product Management teams forinput into engineering/productSkills and qualifications:Must haves: Technical leadership experience in design, implementation, and support of core front end,orchestration, and database services that are highly reliable, flexible, and scalable. Deep knowledge of building appliances as well as cloud technologies Extensive background in leading software engineers in design and code Proven ability to earn respect, trust and influence from people you work with and to mentor toptechnical talent. BS/MS/PhD in information technology, computer science or a related engineering discipline, orequivalent experience. You can apply good judgment to the steepest software engineering challenges. Experience developing sound, secure remote API such as RESTful, OpenAPI and/or gRPC APIs Strong container development understanding, practice and security Knowledge of container orchestration such as Kubernetes(preferred) or Nomad API development knowledge of Kubernetes 12 factor app development practitioner Experience with data plane development or control plane development Networking domain knowledge: TCP/UDP, Routing and Switching protocols Working knowledge of Linux netfilter, network stack, connection tracking, Firewalling and NATing Strong secure coding knowledge and practice ,
