Its intelligent solutions make power more competitive by improving the energy efficiency, productivity and reliability of almost any operation.This is a Process Development Specialist role, reporting to Senior Manager- Process Engineering in Business Area Electrification (EL) located in Bangalore and will be responsible optimizing the production organization s assembly methods, processes and equipment in order to minimize labor hours in accordance with business strategies related to quality, efficiency, costs and safety.Your responsibilities

  • Planning & facilitating assembly process, layouts and for conducting & qualifying assembly lines.
  • Responsible for Line Architecture, Line balancing, Work study, Value Engineering, Production Indicators & target specification for new lines.
  • Responsible for design of jigs & fixtures for assembly lines.
  • Responsible for work center creation, routings for assembly lines and preparing project budget.
  • Living ABB s core values of safety and integrity, which means taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues and the business.
Your background
  • Diploma/Degree in Mechatronics/Mechanical/Industrial/Electrical engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in process development.
  • Proficient in Operational Excellence such as Kaizens, 5s, Value stream mapping, Theory of Constraints, Visual Display & Root cause analysis.
  • Proficiency in CAD package like Pro-engineer/AutoCAD.
  • Conversant with SAP.
  • Basic knowledge of MySQL & MS-SQL, C#, Python, NI-LabVIEW, Modbus TCP/IP, RS232 & RS485, Ethernet, Profinet, Profibus.
  • Knowledge of Industry 4.0, IoT and smart factory.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to solve complex issues.
  • Good Negotiator.
