Job Description

ABB Energy Industries drives growth for customers while supporting safe, efficient and profitable operations with strong global execution capacity, an extensive service footprint and capabilities, and innovative digital leadership.This is a Procurement and Logistics Specialist role, reporting to the Procurement & Logistics Manager in Business Area - India Operations Centre, Industrial Automation (INOPC IA) located in Bangalore. You will be responsible for purchasing materials according to required technical specification, price, delivery schedule and terms. Ensuring purchasing activities align with corporate purchasing policies and procedures.Your responsibilities

  • Identifying new suppliers in cooperation with relevant category team and qualifying new suppliers in cooperation with supplier quality and engineering specialists.
  • Negotiating agreements with main suppliers, and periodically renews pricelists, terms and conditions.
  • Adapting contracts with corporate contractual framework to the local business needs and recommending frame agreements to management and executes upon approval.
  • Analyzing bids analyzers and evaluates bids in order to determine the optimal value along with sales support bid and proposal teams by providing relevant market information.
  • Checking supplier performance and oversees supplier performance, on time delivery, quality, lead time, and resolves performance issues.
  • Initiating Purchase Orders (PO) in the system, according to the purchase requisitions and in alignment with standard procedures, and confirms delivery with suppliers, monitors and tracking supplier performance to purchase order requirements.
  • Aligning supplier orders with customer requirements based on Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) or Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) in terms of content, quality, delivery, sustainability and price.
  • Conducting all procurement & logistics activities for all goods and services in accordance with policies and procedures and ensuring pro-supply global supplier relationship management platform is kept updated as defined in pro-supply procedure.

Your background
  • Bachelor s degree in Electrical or Electronic engineering.
  • Required 4-7 years of experience automation, control systems, telecom commodities and procurement & design.
  • Experience in working with international environments with different cultures or languages and managing stakeholders of varying management levels.
