Job Description

  • TheDesign Leadat Meesho will be responsible for big charters likegrowth, reseller experience, fulfillment and engagement. The lead designer at Meesho will be actively involved in discussions and deliberations with stakeholders of different businesses and product verticals, understand their requirements, manage and design for those requirements, and also engage in user research to understand the use cases and behaviour of Meesho entrepreneurs (our resellers).
  • He/she will also contribute to setting up best design practices and communicate extensively across the organisation, related to all things design.
Key responsibilities for the role
  • Collaborate with product management and engineering teams to define and implement innovative solutions for the product direction, visuals and experience.
  • Execute all visual design stages from concept to final hand-off to engineering.
  • Conceptualize original ideas that bring simplicity and user friendliness to complex design roadblocks.
  • Create wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows and site maps to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas.
  • Research, analyse user feedback and activity, and iterate it to enhance the user experience.
  • Establish and promote design guidelines, best practices and standards.
  • Possess a research-based approach to problem solving. You should be able to coordinate research and build meaningful products based on insights.
  • Thorough understanding of the B2C dynamics and B2B complexities.
  • Thorough understanding of the fundamentals of the Net Promoter Score (NPS), of conversion driven business models and gamification rules.
  • A strong sense of visual aesthetics encompassing digital capabilities, local sensibilities and platform constraints.
  • An ability to build a strong design process and culture at Meesho.
  • An ability to manage, create and contribute to the Meesho Design System.
  • An ability to manage a team of a smart designers.
You will be working closely with the business and product teams to identify these problem statements and prioritize them, and with Engineering teams to implement your solutions.Who we are looking for
  • At least 4+ years of mobile product design experience in a fast paced organisation, including a strong portfolio in mobile apps.
  • Have an in-depth knowledge of graphic design fundamentals such as layouts, colour theory, visual hierarchies, and typography.
  • Be well versed with material design and the platform adaptation for mobile apps.
  • Be obsessed with details and have an eye for good design.
  • Be enthusiastic in working with and fixing an existing design language.
  • Be able to establish and maintain visual design and copy-writing guidelines.
  • Have experience in using tools such as Sketch (mandatory), Illustrator, Principle, InVision etc.
  • Be able to collaborate closely with business stakeholders and front-end developers.
