ResponsibilitiesIterative lean product development
• Analyze and study market trends and sales team feedback to identify changes in client requirements / expectations
• Define and monitor competitor set
• Define digital product strategy and take strategic decisions about the future direction of products
• Evaluate build vs buy approaches to product development
• Create and own the product roadmap
• Ideation / generate hypotheses at the discover phase of the product development lifecycle
• Undertake proposition development
• Embed a test and learn approach into product development
• Define MVP for first release
Backlog prioritization, product releases and Pod leadership
• Determine the features of a product prior to its

• Attend sprint planning and demo meetings to give feedback on sprint achievement
• Creates requirements for the pod
• Leads the grooming session, product release plans and set expectation for delivery of new functionalities

• Builds good relationships with the Pod Act as a mentor when required
Injecting client insights into product development
• Bring the voice of the customer into the development of new products and relay their expectations of product features to the scrum team
• Identify client insight requirements at all stages of ideation, definition, and
• Turn the insights from the Insight Manager and User Researchers into action e.g. pivot vs persevere, tweak make up of features in a release
• Maintain feedback channels concerning product release and client opinion and act upon feedback
• Partners with the Business Analyst and UX team to create low fidelity wireframes as required to get early feedback from DSOs/users of the system
Commercials
• Lead on establishing the business case for new products
• Undertake ROI, NPV or Returns analysis on projects. Building reverse balance sheets (product financials) and securing sign-off from Business and Sales on the underlying product assumptions
• Set up indicators to track the performance and value of products delivered to clients e.g. operational objectives, commercial objectives, client satisfaction.
Stakeholder management
• Be the face of the product(s) and the SME, including clearly communicating the product s vision and goals with the Pod and stakeholders
• Be a leading member of the Product Owner community and facilitate the sharing of best practice
• Identify dependencies with other products and projects
• Run client and internal demos of products
