Search engines, web publishers, major ad networks, and ad exchanges are now serving billions of ad impressions per day and generating terabytes of user events data every day. The rapid growth of online advertising has created enormous opportunities as well as technical challenges that demand computationally intelligence and scalable algorithms. Eventually Computational Advertising has emerged as a new interdisciplinary field that involves information retrieval, data mining, machine learning, statistical modeling, optimization, linear algebra, and micro-economics, to solve challenging problems that arise in online advertising.We are a team with a strong Live Site First mindset and passionate about monitoring and protecting the health of the Bing Ads marketplace ecosystem. We deal with big data spanning across advertisers, publishers, system components and users to connect the dots across seemingly unrelated anomalies for investigating, identifying, and resolving issues impacting the marketplace.The ideal candidate should be self-directed, tenacious, have a strong service and business operations mindset, have exposure to livesite handling, be passionate about data and what it represents, and focused on delivering impact with a growth hacking mindset, finding ways to think out of the box when faced with seemingly insurmountable challenges. The candidate should be able to dissect business problems, formulate precise questions, and then map the questions into data science problems. The candidate should also be an effective communicator, capable of delivering insights in a concise and consumable manner to all kinds of audiences. This role is based in Bangalore, India.As PM- Data Analytics the following will be your core responsibilitiesMarketplace Operations:
      1. Own Bing ads market monitoring and investigations
      2. Run analysis to explain variance to forecast for key KPI s.
      3. Strong communication skill and ability to modify presentation as per audience.
      4. Ability to independently drive high visibility issues affecting Bing. Will need to demonstrate strong ownership and time flexibility during outages.
      5. You will be part of a 12/7 on-call rotation (once every 8-10 weeks) where you will be the person on point to monitor the health of the Bing Ads marketplace and respond to issues.
    • Product Analytics:
      1. End to end analytics of new/existing products in collaboration with the product team. This includes but not limited to:
      1. Identifying key KPI s and its tracking, dashboarding, Insight generation, performance analysis of key customers.
      1. Engineering orchestration for implementation of new product ideas and implementation
    • Exploratory analysis:
      1. Conduct open ended investigations to better understand reasons for movement in business metrics. You will deeply understand performance data from a range of sources and use this to help the team understand and act upon these observations.
      2. Generate insights for Product engineering teams to extract more from our products.
    Effectively communicate complex findings to stakeholders,
    • 3+ years of experience
    • Bachelors or master s degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, Math or Business-related fields with strong emphasis on data analytics
    • 1-2 years experience in database querying using SQL or related language.
    • 1-2 years experience with data analytics tools like R, Python, Excel, Tableau, SAS, Power BI
    • Track record of data-based decision making and insight generation.
    • Ability to abstract statistical insights for varied audiences.
    • Top notch verbal and written communication skills
    • Technical competence & strong analytical skills
    • Having worked in a web search related company is a plus.
