Job Description

  • Proven manager with 10+ years experience having delivered multiple new age digital engagements on preferably Mobile / Web App development
  • Ability to independently lead multiple scrum teams from Scope, Schedule and Quality with inside-out leadership (proactive) while ensuring Agile methodology is followed in every aspect of engagement.
  • Strong analytical skills and excellent communication skills
  • Sound business skills with strategic vision including judgement and decision making skills
  • Provide analytical and administrative support and implement initiatives for effective onsite/offshore collaboration and management
  • Manage offshore scrum teams by setting the right tone, providing continuous guidance on the importance of quality and schedule and manage quality metrics for incremental improvements to meet or exceed client expectations.
  • Schedule and facilitate leadership meetings for periodic project briefs and opportunities within teams.
  • Champion Rally and drive consistent usage or Rally across teams.
  • Accountable to get JIRA updated by each team on a daily basis.
  • Ensure consistency of agile execution across teams
  • Lead implementation of standards (including but not limited to checklists) are in place for all work-tracks (architecture, dev/coding, automation, sv) and ensure adherence to standards.
  • Ensure each existing and new team members are deeply knowledgeable in these standards and are following them to ensure that quality is baked in work product from inception (rather than after the fact).
  • Ensure teams have all tools/ workspace etc. to successfully execute work
  • Collaborate with Leadership for timely ramp-up/ramp-down of scrum teams based on client requirements.
  • Identify qualified candidates that are culturally and technically aligned to client s expectations for the roles requested during ramp-up phase.
  • Provide timely inputs for weekly status reports for client
  • Understand client value drivers of mobile AppDev, scrum & automation testing and SV. Apply necessary decision making while leading teams to maximize outcome of these value drivers.
  • Track and validate effort estimate, challenges, dependencies before reporting to client across teams.
  • Provide coaching to Team Leads and Team Members on their respective area of expertise. Position and track individuals and teams for incremental efficiency and quality improvements while maintaining accountability in self and others.
  • Ensure readiness for each of the teams for client milestones throughout the project - Release Planning, Sprint Planning, Grooming, Code Review, Sprint DoD and Release DoD.
  • Lead initiatives to improve quality and efficiency (actual effort) at team and workstream level in organized/methodical way by:
  • Maintaining value and goal Driven metrics at individual, work stream and team level.
  • Organize bi-weekly retro among all the scrum teams locally to identify and implement improvement opportunities. Track and resolve items from retro to its logical end.
  • Organize 1-1 discussions with team members to provide frequent feedback and track the progress on feedback items.
  • Establish and Mature Quality Standards for deliverables at work stream level
  • Enforce Quality Standards adherence by team with real-time checks and weekly audits.
  • Implement corrective measures for exceptions and track till resolution.
  • Work as the first-level escalation point for problems related to the teams
  • Understand the high-level roadmap and the big picture of what is going on at client and help develop strategic roadmap to support client initiatives and priorities
  • Attend the Agile cadences of various teams when no conflict to ensure streamlined delivery, risk identification and mitigation. Raise risk flag on time, specifying resource issues or any dependencies from Quality or Schedule front.
  • Efficiently Track ongoing risks and issues/dependencies till resolutions and escalate to onshore and offshore stakeholders appropriately when needed.
