Job Description

  1. Prepares project plans and drives the project from conception and planning to implementation. Will participate in the development of strategies, processes and resources.
  2. Manages project schedule and task details by utilizing project management tools such as reports, tracking charts, checklist and project scheduling software.
  3. Coordinates allocated resources from within the Division to achieve on-time and within budget performance objectives for the project. Initiates and manages purchase requisitions, and purchase orders.
  4. Drives cost schedule performance of equipment for internal and external customers and vendors worldwide.
  5. Participates on multifunctional design teams comprised of internal, external and/or matrixed headcount to complete projects. Provides technical input to team members to achieve project goals.
  6. Interfaces and coordinates within the division to define project objectives, provide status updates and prepare for release and deployment.
  7. Provides engineering and business process expertise to team and other members on various standard programs / issues.
  8. Identifies and resolves potential complications within the project and develops solutions for resolution.

Project Manager (E3; E4) Obsolescence Mgt Office (OMO)Description:
  • Leads cross-organizational projects to improve the Obsolescence Management process.
  • Minimizes the adverse impact of obsolescence on Applied s operations and customers operations.
  • Actively engages with stakeholders to drive collaboration, meet objectives and business process metrics.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Defines and leads OMO projects, aligned with multiple stakeholders. Project focus is onimproving obsolescence (OBS) management business process (maturity and metrics);developing and proliferating training material for effective change management;supporting definition and implementation of new IT solutions for process improvements;preventing OBS caused escalations, plus root cause analysis and strategic corrective actions;proliferating the new OBS risk forecasting process, and leading related improvement projects;analyzing OBS risk data and defining strategic projects to preempt and/or mitigate risks;proliferating the new Design For Obsolescence Resilience process;informing the Released Product Mgt process with OBS risk analytics;improving road map alignment between Suppliers, Applied, and Customers;preventing and resolving Red Zones in critical OBS projects and programs.
  • Collaborates with stakeholders to define project objectives, requirements and scope.
  • Leads projects towards completion, including validation of results and proliferation of learnings.
Education & Experience:
  • Bachelors / Master s Degree, in engineering (preferably Mechanical / Electrical)
  • 6 years overall experience, with 2 years of demonstrated Technical Management experience in WFE industry
Job Specific Knowledge:
  • Strong technical knowledge of electrical/electromechanical sub-systems in wafer fab equipment
  • Good understanding of processes related to manufacturing and engineering change management
  • Experience in Project Management & Quality Methods, plus working knowledge of PLM, SAP ERP
  • Familiarity with Copy Exactly!, environmental directives (RoHS/REACH) and Obs Mgt Methods are a plus
  • Data management and data analytics skills
