Amazon s Compliance Operations team is seeking highly skilled and motivated project specialist to assist in the operational management and execution of worldwide environmental programs.The WW Environmental affairs team is responsible for strategy development and execution related to managing our Environmental risks. We need to Think Big and Innovate across the globe collaborating with Amazon businesses, geographical regions and technical subject matter experts (SMEs). An ideal candidate has excellent project management skills. S/he has the ability to understand business requirements, manage multiple projects, standardize processes and drive process improvements. This job will require exceptional communication and interpersonal skills while having the ability to work independently in a fast paced, high pressure environment and exercise sound judgment where clear guidelines may not exist. The successful candidate will be proficient at solving complex challenges and possess a bias to get things done and deliver results.We are expanding our team and looking for a talented project specialist with a preferred understanding of environmental management systemResponsibilities include, but are not limited to: Interpret regulatory permits, standards, training and procedures Continual, tactical communication with Stakeholders Manage SIM requests from Sustainability field teams or other groups Develop or maintain tools and processes to support the implementation of WW Environmental programs Collect information of new facility launch equipment, operations, and processes for environmental regulatory program applicability and compliance obligations Site specific information collection for new launched sites on regulatory aspect pertaining to environment Support maintaining all regulatory compliance documentation from a global perspective to ensure accurate and up to date adherence to set standards Working knowledge of integrating new systems into new and existing work environments Excellent communication, both verbal and written Prepare and deliver business reviews documents regarding progress and roadblocksStrong verbal/written communication and data presentation skills, including an ability to effectively communicate with both business and technical teams, Bachelor s degree in a science, environmental or a related field with 4+ years direct experience in project management Experience implementing lean principles and process improvement in an operational environment Experience interacting with cross functional teams Proficiency with Microsoft office Competent business and technical writing skills Strong project management skills Excellent computer skills for use of digital tools for project management and document control (Visio, MS Excel, SharePoint) Strong verbal and written communication skills. Strong technical aptitude (i.e. able to read & comprehend technical documentation, ability to comprehend & execute procedures, demonstrated understanding of system documentation). Bias for action and high on ownership Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Able to prioritize in complex, fast-paced environment Significant work experience within a global company Understanding of environmental management systems Eager to be curious and has a passion to research topics and ideas, including reviewing scientific literature Change agent with energy, passion and skill to drive change Demonstrated ability to effectively balance/prioritize issue Strong relationship building/networking/interpersonal skills
