Job Description

  • Provides direct support to sales efforts by managing the delivery of discrete deliverables to clients as well as providing leadership, assistance and advice to Sales pursuit teams from initial engagement contact through award.
  • Works with cross-functional organizations to create compelling, compliant and thorough offers.
Role Responsibilities:
  • Develops and drives the project plan and schedule to complete the proposal on time.
  • Maintains all project-related documentation.
  • Ensures important milestones are reached on schedule.
  • Monitors collection/completion of non-narrative items.
  • Acts quickly to alert the team and/or marshal additional internal and external resources when critical dates are threatened.
  • Actively contributes to strategy process.
  • Prepares materials for and runs the kick-off meeting.
  • Coaches writers to outline their sections, plan visualizations, and to keep their writing clear, on strategy, and jargon and fluff-free.
  • Conducts daily reviews.
  • Ensures compliance with submission requirements
Key Skills:
  • Bachelor s Degree or equivalent experience
  • Experience in proposal management, proposal development, or pre-sales bid management
  • Experience leading proposal teams effectively, fairly, and respectfully to meet schedules and deadlines
  • Ability to work often unpredictable schedules, including overtime, evenings, and weekends; and often over holidays
  • Ability to travel frequently throughout Europe
  • Ability to effectively lead diverse teams of senior and junior personnel, provide constructive and appropriate performance assessments, and resolve disputes
  • Ability to conduct oneself with confidence and professionalism, including making sound decisions regarding proposal strategies
  • Proposal experience supporting a broad range of industries and solutions with complex and simple proposals
  • Demonstrated understanding of business development lifecycle
  • Formal proposal management and project management training and education preferred
  • Technical writing and editing, including editorial practice and standards
  • Document/graphic design and development standards
  • Industry-wide best practices in proposal management
  • Preference for candidates who are fluent in English and German
