Job Description

Total Experience: 3-4 yearsRelevant Experience: 3-4 years (manual testing, regression testing, defect life cycle, compatibility testing, end user testing, e-learning course testing) Bonus Experience: Working experience with American or European clients and teams, e-learning domain experience.Skills Evaluation:

SkillsPrepare and review test cases/checklists
  • Expertise in using web search techniques and finding the right information.
  • Ability to review large quantities of test cases quickly
  • Good understanding of SDLC/STLC processes
  • Good understanding of defect life cycle.
  • Hands on experience in bug tracking tools.
Effective test execution
  • Strong experience and knowledge in web applications testing
  • Strong experience in compatibility testing with multiple devices and operating systems.
  • Strong experience in regression testing, usability testing.
Create logs
  • Ability to spot patterns in testing/bug tracking and structure/ sequence in a logical manner
  • Create extensive defect report which includes testing phases, status of defect.
  • Create traceability matrix to determine test coverage.
Communication and Coordination
  • Fluent and relatively unaccented verbal communication skills in English
  • Ability to understand accents across geographies and communicate with client teams in a coherent manner
  • Maturity to understand process and situation, and respond appropriately to client queries
  • Ability to simplify language and clarify defects to graphics and programming teams
ResponsibilitiesPrepare and review test cases/checklistsacross various domains, including school/college education, software and process training for industries like retail, financial, manufacturing, and serviceEffective test execution that meets functional and design specifications and requirementsCreate logs to document testing phases and defects. Report bugs and errors to development teamsCommunicate and coordinate with the following teams and provide them relevant inputs
  • Leads: Provide deliverables, incorporate review feedback and reach out for clarifications and guidance
  • Project Managers: Provide task time estimates and task status; communicate need for resources/infrastructure
  • Peers: Assist in course review and defect logging tasks, provide peer reviews for language and quality checks
  • Graphics and Programming Teams: Collaborate and clarify queries related to review of the course; assist team in defects raised by you and provide clarification
  • Client Stakeholders: Ask questions to clarify content gaps and doubts, assist in walkthroughs of deliverables, provide design rationale when required to explain adopted quality control strategy.
Education and Certification
  • Any (graduate / B.E/B.Tech)
  • Any formal training in testing would be a bonus
  • Any experience and/or certification in software testing is highly desired.
