Job Description

Quantitative Engineer - Asset Management - AnalystGSAM Quantitative Investment Strategies (QIS) is an investment team which manages funds using various types of quantitative models. We provide actively managed alpha strategies funds, tax advantaged strategies funds, customized beta strategies funds, macro strategies funds and hedge fund replication strategies funds. We have a broad range of clients such as pension funds, endowments, foundations, financial institutions, insurers and high net worth individuals.A strategist within GSAM QIS will be expected to help in the research and development of quantitative models, build optimizer for portfolio construction process, build surveillance and risk management analytics, and develop web-based tools which would assist in all these processes. RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS Basic Qualifications:

  • Strong communication skills and an ability to clearly articulate complex financial and mathematical concepts
  • Strong background in a quantitative discipline
  • Programming expertise; ability to transform concepts and ideas into robust software
  • Intelligence, creativity, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as thrive in a team environment.
