Job OverviewWe are looking for a creative and passionate candidate to join our team as Design Engineer to work on a variety of product development opportunities. The design engineer will support the design and engineering solutions under the mentorship of a lead or senior engineer. He/She will deliver relevant solutions to new and existing products through design calculations, risk-assessment using first principles engineering, technical analyses/FMEA and verification of the design. The Design Engineer will learn and utilize TE s stage gate process and use DFM/DFSS and other relevant engineering tools to deliver a high quality, robust and cost-effective design. He/She will partner cross-functionally to execute all aspects of product development.What your background should look like:RESPONSIBILITIESResearch of existing and new materials and assessing them for suitability to the solution Create multiple design for various prototyping and NPD projects Provide technical support in identifying new processes or improvement opportunities Undertaking relevant research using computer-aided design/simulation software Liaising with suppliers, customers and manufacturing/development staff Analyzing test and failure data to identify opportunities to improve Keeping up to date with technological developments Maintain a high standard of compliance and ethics Demonstrate agility and action orientation when facing change and uncertainty. Effectively manage change and instill confidence. Develop and execute test methods which specify measurement equipment, test set-up, measurement systems analysis, and data analysis EDUCATION/ CRITICAL EXPERIENCEBE /B. Tech or ME/ M Tech in Mechanical/ Materials/ Bio-medical Engineering 5-7 years of demonstrated experience in area of design, research and innovation Accomplished designed engineer in aerospace/automobile/medical device engineering Demonstrated ability in applying academic knowledge in professional projects Knowledge of design, materials and manufacturing processes is added plus Preference for candidates having exposure to design programs like Stanford Bio design Innovation program Preference to candidates having Nitinol material/design knowledge and medical device design experience.CompetenciesValues: Integrity, Accountability,Teamwork, Innovation,
