This is a R&D Principal Engineer - .Net Full Stack role, reporting to the Research & Development Projects Director in business area Industrial Automation (IA) located in Bangalore. You will be working at Ability Innovation Center (AIC), home to the largest technology and engineering pool in ABB globally and is a part of ABB Global Industries and Services Private Limited, a subsidiary of ABB. • Leading the technical planning & requirements gathering phases including estimate, architect and deliver.
• Practicing disciplined software engineering (e.g. automated testing, code reviews and writing beautiful, pragmatic code).
• Designing and developing functional and appealing web and mobile-based applications based on best practices, usability and performance.
• Mentoring the team driving correct adoption of modern software engineering & delivery practices ( Real Agile, TDD, Stateless Design, Microservices, Containerization, CI/CD, Cloud etc.).
• Evaluating technical trends and providing recommendations for technology and architecture to meet business objectives.
• Coordinating with various teams working on distinct layers to implement high quality software solutions in line with business requirements
• Living ABB s core values of safety and integrity, which means taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues and the business.

• B.E/B.Tech in Computer Science or Electrical or Electronics from a reputed institution.
• Required 8 to 12 years of experience in application design and development.
• Knowledge of application architecture and development in .NET/Service Oriented models, .NET framework, CLR.
• Advanced knowledge of design patterns, object-oriented design and microservices architecture principles.
• Advanced knowledge of C#, ASP.NET, .Net Core, Web API and REST, WCF, LINQ, and MVC.
• Experience with java-script/client-side angular framework along with Oracle, SQL Server and NoSQL databases.
• Experience with integrating application using REST and SOAP.
• Good understanding of Docker Containers and Kubernetes.
