Job Description

The key objective of the reconciliation is to ensure that the market books maintained with sub-custodian, depository and transfer agent are compared with internal record and resolution of any differences conducted in a timely manner. Reconciliation ensures the balance/transactions are appropriately captured in the books, avoid any loss due to incorrect trading on back of wrong position reflected in Custody books, to avoid any regulatory breach CASS, SSAE16. Few varied products reconciled in ROU are reconciliation for Fund accounting, Nostro, Custody, Alternative Investment and Proof & Control. Various process teams are assigned to perform investigation, resolution, escalation, review and sign-off.Team Description: This team is responsible driving the Innovation and Transformation agenda for Nostro Reconciliation. This involves understanding and documenting end to end Data flow and performing Gap Analysis. The team should be responsible for implementing the firm wide data initiatives across RoU. The team also works on advance statistical analysis using ROU data which may often involves using Statistical learning techniques. A major deliverable of the team is the Target Architecture of RoU eco system. .Key Responsibilities Gather information from various sources to capture current status - identify and interpret patterns and trends, assess data quality and eliminate irrelevant data. Deep dive on analysis of data across different business units that would represent all the different representations of the data Identification of discrepancies around data, recommend solutions to standardize Identify and structure data sources, create relationships with existing data sources and develop best in class methods for data management Develop and implement data collection systems and other strategies that supports the standard data integrity for all processes Communicate results of the analysis through a comprehensive report which would present statistics about the data, lists, visuals Work closely with management to prioritize business and information needs, locate and define new process improvement opportunities Lead automation initiatives and work closely with Operations teams to accomplish identified automation opportunitiesQualifications and Skills setThese points have been carefully considered as being essential for the role. Your background must accurately reflect most of these for your application to be considered. Proven working experience as a Data and Business analyst for 8-10 years Technical expertise regarding data models, database design development, data mining and segmentation techniques, data visualization. Understanding of End to End process flow and data flows and how to document requirements for automation. Knowledge of and experience with databases (SQL etc.), programming (XML or ETL frameworks) BS in Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management or Statistics Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analysing large datasets (Excel, SPSS, SAS, Alteryx, etc.) is an added plus. Good to have knowledge on statistical language like R. Experience on working with RPA tools like UI Path will be added advantage Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organise, analyse, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy The ability to plan work and meet deadlines Detailed understanding of Financial Markets and Financial Instruments will be a must A clear communicator, who is able to write report and present complex findings in a simple way Comfortable in a thought leadership role you should have your own opinions and be comfortable expressing them Ability to effectively prioritize workload and work to critical deadlines,
