RecoverPoint products provide protection to Storage Arrays (RecoverPoint Classic) and Virtualize Environments (RecoverPoint for Virtual Machines) providing protection on-premise and to the Cloud. RecoverPoint products and capabilities are part of the DELL EMC PowerProtect Software suite.We are seeking a seasoned Engineering Leader to lead our growing Engineering team in Bangalore. This manager is responsible for planning and execution of quality software deliverables. This position works very closely with key stakeholders within and outside the RecoverPoint group. The manager is responsible for:Act as a Site Leader for RP Bangalore team consisting of Dev, QE, Engineering Escalations (EE), Lab Engineers Full ownership over Sustain Engineering for both RecoverPoint Classic (RP) and RecoverPoint for Virtual Machines (RP4VM), closely interacting with EE group Full ownership for RecoverPoint classic (RP) development and new releases Leading RP4VM development in the Bangalore site Integrating between the different RP Engineering teams in Bangalore (Dev, QE, EE)This position is responsible for skill development, team s goal setting, status reporting, monitoring and anticipating risk, mitigation efforts, and contributing to overall organization alignment.Some of the key deliverables include, but are not limited to:

• Lead and demonstrate technical excellence while independently managing complex SW modules and providing superior deliverables
• Manage and resolve any dependencies, working within the construct of Agile Methodology
• Promote employee development, including coaching, mentoring, and identifying opportunities for improvement in the technical, customer engagement, and process areas
• Create a culture of ownership and accountability ensure teams understand their objectives and are provided the tools and guidance to be successful
• Utilize his/hers experience and proven track record, insights and analysis to determine levers for operational efficiency to drive continuous improvement across departments and success teams
• Identify process automation/improvement opportunities and work with cross-functional teams to drive identified initiatives
• Working with the Israeli team and management on daily basis
• Software strategy, design, development and sustenance of the teams responsibilities
• Setting and achieving the goals Both execution and aspirational and should be able to motivate team to rally around these goals

Qualifications

• At least 15 years experience in design and development, with a minimum of 8 years of management experience
• Strong leadership, interpersonal, written/verbal communication, and presentation skills
• Strong ability to motivate and achieve results through team
• Demonstrated skill in managing development, system engineers, and managers
• Solid working knowledge of Enterprise Software products and solutions
• Ability to identify potential product design issues/improvements; provide design guidance/recommendations for improvements to subsequent redesigns; drive cross-functional development efforts
• Troubleshooting skills; Experience with customers or work on customers escalations would be an added plus
• Domain knowledge around data protection, replication, storage, distributed systems, virtualization and VMWare experience would be an added plus
• Understanding of related technologies, suppliers and competitive offerings
• Experience managing large teams both on premise and remotely
• Excellent communication skills verbal and writing in English; should articulate the goals and purpose efficiently
• Demonstrated ability to build and lead teams toward common goals
• Proven capability to work with different groups across different functions and preferably among different locations with strong conflict resolution skills
• Experience leading and developing high performing managers and individual contributors

Preferred qualifications include:

• BS or MS Engineering degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent Engineering degree
