Job Description

Provides technical support for solutions and computer/data center operations for both cloud and virtualized environments. Responsibilities

  • Produces professional-level technical skill and judgment to provide non-routine technical support for computer/data center operations for public cloud, virtualized, and container environments.
  • Contributes to install, configure and troubleshoot server, public cloud, virtualized, and container environments.
  • Consults with team to uphold access control, data integrity and file system security for the computer/data center environment.
  • Creates to develop information technology and infrastructure projects which support on/off premise and Infrastructure-as-a-Service solutions.
  • Internal or external, client-focused, working in conjunction with Professional Services and outsourcing functions.
  • Collaborates with team regarding company-wide, web-enabled and cloud-technology solutions
  • Monitor existing infrastructure and processes, identify areas of weaknesses and propose improvements
  • Resolve service outages and build automated responses for recurrence prevention
  • Handle escalations from team members to assist with client and platform level issues
  • Coordinate incident management, recommend changes, and work on technical projects
  • Create and maintains documentation for processes, supported infrastructure resources and services
  • Create new alerts, analyzes trends, find anomalies, fix things, and ask why something broke
  • Participate in on-call rotation
Qualifications
  • Bachelors Degree required or equivalent experience. Advanced Degree preferred.
  • 5-8 years of experience
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience with end user issues
  • Demonstrated technical experience
  • Demonstrated experience working independently and collaboratively on projects
  • Demonstrated experience trouble shooting
  • Broad knowledge of applicable IT systems/applications
  • Experience developing new systems and tools
  • Experience in documenting and maintaining up to date systems procedures
  • Advanced analytical skills
  • Demonstrated Project Management skills
