JOB DESCRIPTION To assess the patients on admission.To take detailed history and physically examine the patientTo be responsible for sending the patient for the appropriate investigation as directed by the primary consultant.To obtain required Consent from patient or patient s surrogate whenever / wherever required.To handle OPD work as advised by Unit Consultant.To assist in the OT sessions of the consultants for whom they are postedTo visit patients in the wards and assess them for treatment as deemed fit by his consultant and review them regularly as per the guidelines.To complete the in-patients rounds every day and fill the case sheets and progress notes without failTo be responsible for providing adequate treatment to the patient as advised by Consultant.To check and sign the dosage, frequency, route of administrations of all medications considering all precautionsTo write and maintain patient medical records as per hospital policy.To assess the patients in emergencies and ask for appropriate investigationsTo prepare the discharge summaries well in time and brief the patients about the follow-up and medications on discharge, etc.To do call duties and to attend surgical patients in the wards when on dutyTo follow the hospital practices and demonstrate initiative aligned to ensure the safest possible environment for patients and staff.To assist his / her Consultant in surgical procedures.To participate in presentation / publication of articles in national meeting / journals.To be an active member for the quality initiatives of the department.To oversee the clinical work of junior medical staff of his / her clinical unit.,
