Summary Description of Role
The Reporting Lead forms part of the broader Management Information team which has responsibility for providing actionable insights to the business to enable greater value to be achieved from Pearson s third party spend and support fact - based decision making.
The Reporting Lead will be responsible for ensuring that the functions reporting requirements are delivered consistently and accurately. The individual will be required to build credibility through robust data and visualisations that will enable both Procurement and the business to deliver on their respective tactical and strategic directives.
Scope
The Reporting Lead shall be responsible for providing reports and insights across Pearson s global third party spend.
The lead shall focus on consistent delivery of recurring reports to Procurement and Global Operations leadership with minimal supervision. The lead will also be responsible for understanding ad - hoc reporting requirements and producing consistent, high quality output.
Principal Accountabilities
Execute against the Global Procurement reporting framework
Ensure that outputs are accessible to stakeholders in order to serve a self - service model
Ensure that outputs are clear and easily understood by stakeholders through the use of a data dictionary, definitions and glossaries as applicable
Ensure insights have a measurable impact
Adopt a continuous improvement mindset - identify and act upon opportunities to improve the quality of outputs
Identify opportunities to streamline or automate the process of producing outputs
Work in collaboration with the extended team to drive function and organisation wide objectives
In conjunction with Policy, CSR and Risk, ensure Pearson are meeting various legislative and industry best practice reporting requirements such as sustainability and diversity
Make an active and material contribution to the Procurement team and promote best practice to ensure that the function meets it s short and long - term objectives
Experienced professional with strong, relevant experience of data/reporting space
Must have hands on experience of OBIA, EDW and Tableau
Preferable to have experience with Coupa Analytics
Knowledge in areas such as digital analytics, advanced analytics, data visualisation
Comfortable working with minimal level of guidance, depending on the complexity of the task
A sharp focus on getting results and insights using the most practical and efficient approach
Experience of working with both virtual and physical global teams
Curiosity and real passion for making an impact along with strong attention to detail
Strong problem solving ability and comfortable with ambiguity
Natural ability to interact positively with all internal stakeholders across cultures, countries, and professional disciplines
