    Job summaryThe Alexa Natural Understanding group s mission is to develop Artificial Intelligence (AI) capabilities that combine machine efficiency with human attributes of perception, ability to learn and reason, and interaction skills to anticipate and accomplish all customer tasks, outperforming any human expert or any other AI. In support of this mission we build and operate the backbone of NUs AI infrastructure - Unified Model Building System (UMBS). UMBS brings the power of machine learning to Alexa experience developers (i.e. engineers and scientists) by making it easy to manage the full lifecycle of ML models (data prep, build-train-tune, evaluate and release) within the Alexa ecosystem.We believe in Work Hard.     • In this role, you are able to take a defined set of tasks and execute it on schedule.

    • You may identify when technical implementations have defects or are not highly available, performant, or maintainable.
    • You understand operational risk and avoid taking unnecessary risks.
    • You identify operational concerns and resolve, mitigate, or escalate the concerns in a timely manner.

    • B.S. in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical field or equivalent experience.
    • 1+ years experience in troubleshooting, root causing, and patching production cloud services, distributed systems, databases, and large-scale software systems.
    • 1+ years of hands on experience with SQL, Linux administration, application servers, continuous integration/deployment tools, and service monitoring platforms.
    • 1+ years experience with cloud computing technologies.
    • 1+ year of programming experience with scripting language such as Ruby and Python or languages such as Java, C, C++, C#.
    • 2+ years experience of Cloud Computing concepts and ability to perform deep, technical troubleshooting.
    • 2+ years of experience with support procedures and methodologies for production computing environments.
    • Experience automating routine tasks.
    • Experience troubleshooting.
    • Experience with performance and log analysis.
