Job Description

Research Associate - HC

WHAT YOULL DO

We are seeking strong candidates with experience to fill a Research Associate position within BCGs Data & Researcher Services Center. S/he will contribute to BCGs client work/knowledge base by conducting research across multiple sectors, markets and topic areas.

The ideal candidate should be able to successfully deliver on variety of requests through the day. The environment is fast paced and may need to connect with the customers from the case/knowledge teams to refine/understand the scope, devise an appropriate approach; package and deliver to the satisfaction of the customer. The Research Associate will be a strong problem solver and will work well independently as well as in a collaborative team environment. This professional will welcome the opportunity to grow and learn in an apprenticeship culture where they can quickly build and expand their research knowledge base to the next level.

YOURE GOOD AT

  • Conducts research gathering accurate data/information from relevant and qualified data sources
  • Determines request objectives and proactively suggests most appropriate research approach that is quick and effective.
  • Ensure the right and accurate information by evaluating/validating the source quality, besides identifying possible considerations for the source.
  • Synthesizes and packages research results; organizes facts/summarizes data into appropriate and timely output (e.g., email, word, excel, PPT)
  • Supports standardized research products
  • Collaborates with internal teams, approaches all interactions/deliverables with the highest levels of quality and customer service.
  • Collaborate and work closely with the researchers from other teams including that of the external knowledge partners

YOURE GOOD AT (CONTD)

YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS)

  • University degree and/or MBA with demonstrated high academic record with 1 - 2 years of general research experience (Health care/Pharma/Medical Devices/Hospital preferred). Basic understanding of the health care space.
  • Proven research and commercial database searching capabilities (e.g. Evaluate Pharma/MedTech, IMS Health Analytics, Decision Resources, Thomson Newport, Thomson One, S&P Capital IQ, Orbis, Bloomberg, Factiva, etc.)
  • Sound understanding of sector and databases is important - Euromonitor, EIU, Oxford Economics, Factiva, Bloomberg
  • Very strong, and demonstrable, writing skills
  • The ability to work in teams and a willingness to independently run initiatives
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills
  • Solid problem - solving orientation and lateral thinking ability
  • Ability to manage multiple parallel tasks
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
