The role of the Sales Engineer (SE) is to provide technical insight into Citrix solutions during pre- sales stage. Role required to work with the Citrix sales team, partners and customers. SE is responsible for identifying opportunities for the adoption of Citrix Networking technologies and the development of solutions that meet the business objectives of customers. As an acknowledged expert in both Citrix products and related technologies. Sales Engineer should able to successfully lead the technical sales process as part of supporting complex customer initiatives. Sales Engineer role will also be required to engage in professional communications with CXO level individuals. The position also involves resolving customer reported issues through collaboration with members from the Pre Sales, Technical support and Engineering teams. Ownership includes implementing Citrix Networking product, maintaining communications with the customer and Engineering as the main point of contact till time task is not completed. The primary duties for this position include but are not limited to: Provide, present, design solution for customer requirement using Citrix Networking technology Communicate, train partner, customer on Citrix Technology. Present Citrix networking technology in marketing event, customer events. Through research and training, quickly ramp up to a proficient level on new technologies planned to be used, or in use at customer sites Serve as an authority on Citrix products and related technologies Develop and lead presentations requiring an understanding of in- depth (and possibly controversial) technical concepts for large, diverse audiences Promote a team environment by assisting and contributing to fellow Citrix employees whenever necessary to enhance the professional development of everyone within the organization. The candidate should have experience with the following concepts and/ or technologies: The candidate should have experience with the following concepts and/ or technologies: Load Balancers (e.g. NetScaler, Foundry ServerIron, Alteon, F5 BigIp, Cisco CSS). Network Operating Systems (e.g. IOS, JunOS). Network monitoring and management (e.g. nagios, mrtg/ rrd, SNMP). Sniffers and Protocol Analyzers (e.g.Wireshark, tcpdump, ethereal). Knowledge of Security technologies (e.g. SSL/ TLS, VPNs, Firewall, IDS/ IPS). Knowledge of routing protocols (RIP, OSPF, BGP) and switching technologies Strong working knowledge of commonly used appliances (load balancers, VPN appliances, WAN accelerators, cache devices, packet shapers, protocol analyzers). A solid understanding of WAN and LAN switching and routing, ARP, TCP, IP, HTTP, SMTP, DNS and other related internet protocols. A strong working knowledge of secure Web application delivery A strong working knowledge of the TCP/ IP protocol stack. A strong working knowledge of application layer protocols. Knowledge of Layer 4- 7 load balancing and SSL acceleration technologies. A working knowledge of UNIX (FreeBSD/ Linux) server administration and scripting Nice to have Internet Software (Apache, BIND) Nice to have Qualifications and Requirements Bachelor of Engineering or computer science graduate. Cisco, Juniper, Checkpoint, Radware, Microsoft certification will be added advantage. Person must possess good presentation, verbal and written communication skills. In addition, the individual must be flexible, dependable and have good time management skills. Requirements: Minimum of 10+ years experience in a Sales environment. Strong understanding of Networking environment.
