Job Description

SAP HANA Enterprise Cloud EngineerJob DescriptionThis position develops, troubleshoots, enhances and debugs software to offer SAP HANA as a service, also responsible for lifecycle engineering and supporting external teams within HPE (level 4) and determines hardware compatibility and/or influences hardware design.Responsibilities:

  • Designs enhancements, updates, and programming changes for portions and subsystems of SAP HANA as a service
  • Analyzes design and determines programming, and integration activities required for offering SAP HANA as a service based on general objectives and knowledge of overall architecture of solution.
  • Create and update documentation for assigned portion of application; identifies and debugs, and creates solutions for issues with code and integration into solution
  • Create cost effective and high quality solutions for assigned systems portion or subsystem.
  • Collaborates and communicates with management regarding status, project progress, and issue resolution.
  • Provides guidance and mentoring to less- experienced staff members
Education and Experience Required:
  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent.
  • 5 years experience
Required Knowledge and Skills:
  • Good Linux administration skills
  • Experience in Install/configure/upgrade VMware, SLES, RHEL, and Windows
  • Experience in Install/upgrade firmware and drivers
  • Hands on experience on infrastructure Servers, Storage, and Switches
  • Experience with enterprise database
  • Experience in understand the existing products and create patches to upgrade
  • Experience in Supporting field /external teams (L4)
  • Experience in script deployment and automation in a datacenter environment
  • Exposure to bug report and tracking system
  • Experience with backup/restore tools
  • Good communication and documentation skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; mastery in English and local language.
  • Ability to effectively communicate product architectures, design proposals and negotiate options at management levels.
Desired Skills:
  • Hands on experience with HPE infrastructure (SD-Flex, Proliant, 3PAR, Aruba switches, Brocade switches)
  • Experience in Installing/upgrading SPP (Service Pack for Proliant)
  • Experience on SAP HANA database
  • Experience in Perl, Python, Ansible, Shell scripting
  • Experience in performance tuning
  • Exposure to QuIX system
  • Experience with cloud computing (IaaS, PaaS, Maas)
