Scrum Master - Upstream Information Technology Location:Bangalore, KA, INExxonMobil Job Role SummaryThis position is within the Upstream Technical Computing Applications team that will work with the business, key stakeholders and delivery teams to deliver key products, both internal and customer- facing, using agile principles. The Scrum Master leads teams in their ability to deliver working products and is responsible for ensuring teams understand and operate in accordance to Agile values and principles. The Scrum Master helps teams in their ability to improve continuously and guides teams in discovering solutions for their problems. The Scrum Master will also be called upon to be an active contributor in driving adoption and consolidation of Agile values and principles across the organization.Primary Job FunctionsCoach teams on Agile values and principles Drive teams to improve continuously Foster teams collective responsibility and accountability Facilitate Agile ceremonies (e.g. Retrospective, Daily Scrum, Sprint Review, Sprint Planning, Refining) and ensure full team engagement. Anticipate and address teams potential or existing impediments Manage interdependencies between Agile teams Work with Product Owners to support short and long- term release planning and to keep the work backlog healthy and ready for execution Shield teams from external interference to achieve teams optimal functionality and productivity In Agile at scale environments, participate and represent the teams in Program Increment Plan meetings and other equivalent ceremonies Educate the organization, including management and business contacts on how to work with Agile teams Job RequirementsMinimum Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Systems Engineer or related fieldsMinimum of 3 10 years experience in relevant field Excellent communication skills, including an ability to communicate technical concepts to non- technical staffsCertified Scrum Master; Working experience in running an Agile Team as a Scrum MasterHandle a teamAbility to lead without authority Ability to facilitate problem solving in a group setting Ability to manage and facilitate conflict resolution Team oriented with strong interpersonal skills Analytical skills and critical thinking Ability to coach and train Proficiency in English (written and verbal) Ability to communicate effectively (written and verbal) Preferred Knowledge or Learning OpportunitiesGeneral Agile implementation experience User Story formatting, prioritization and estimation Agile team- level metrics Work experience with Kanban and/ or Scrum Experience with Agile work management (AWM) tools including set- up, planning and reporting Familiarity with Agile at scale Familiarity with benefits of Test Driven Development (TDD), Automated Testing, Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery (CI/ CD), Pair Programming / Mob Programming,
