The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development and testing, with a passion for ensuring the highest quality of software products. As an SDET, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated test frameworks, writing test cases, and ensuring the reliability and scalability of our software systems.Key Responsibilities:
1. Test Automation Development:
• Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable, and reusable automated test frameworks and test scripts using tools likeSelenium, Cypress, Playwright or Appium
• Implement automated tests for functional, regression, performance, and load testing using frameworks likeTestNG, JUnit, pytest, or Mocha.
2. Collaboration with Development Teams:
• Work closely with software developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage using collaboration tools likeJira, Confluence, or Trello.
• Participate in code reviews and provide feedback to improve code quality and testability using version control systems likeGitand platforms likeGitHub/GitLab/Bitbucket.
3. Test Planning and Execution:
• Create detailed test plans, test cases, and test scenarios based on product requirements using test management tools likeTestRail, Zephyr, or Xray.
• Execute manual and automated tests, analyze results, and report defects with detailed steps to reproduce using defect-tracking tools likeJira or Azure DevOps.
4. Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD):
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using tools likeJenkins, GitLab or Azure Pipelines.
• Monitor and improve test execution efficiency and reliability using monitoring tools likeGrafanaor ELK Stack.
5. Performance and Load Testing:
• Develop and execute performance and load tests using tools likeJMeter, K7 or LoadRunnerto identify bottlenecks and ensure system scalability.
• Analyze performance metrics and generate reports using tools likeDynatrace or AppDynamics.
1. API Testing:
• Perform API testing using tools likePostman, RestAssured, SoapUI, or Karateto validate functionality, reliability, and security.
• Automate API test cases and integrate them into the CI/CD pipeline.
2. Defect Management:
• Identify, document, and track software defects using issue-tracking tools likeJira or Azure DevOps.
• Collaborate with developers to ensure timely resolution of issues and verify fixes through regression testing.
3. Innovation and Process Improvement:
• Stay up-to-date with the latest testing tools, methodologies, and industry trends (e.g.,AI/ML in testing, codeless automation tools like Testim or Katalon).
• Propose and implement improvements to the testing process using tools likeJenkins, Docker, or Kubernetesto enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Qualifications:
1. Education:
• Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
2. Experience:
• [5-7] years of experience in software development and/or software testing.
• Proven experience in designing and implementing automated test frameworks.
3. Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in programming languages such asJava, Python, C#, or JavaScript.
• Experience with test automation tools/frameworks such asSelenium, Appium, Cypress, TestNG, JUnit, or similar.
• Strong knowledge ofAPI testingtools likePostman, RestAssured, or SoapUI.
• Familiarity withperformance testing toolslikeJMeter, K7 or LoadRunner.
• Experience withCI/CD toolssuch asJenkins, GitLab
• Knowledge ofversion control systemslikeGit.
• Understanding ofdatabasesand ability to write SQL queries.
4. Soft Skills:
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
