As an information and modeling engineer you will be part of a team responsible for defining, developing and implementing integration solutions in our IT Landscape. You will work with development teams & stakeholders in various locations, such as Bangalore, Maidenhead (UK), Charlotte (US), Guangzhou (China), Manila (Philippines) and Copenhagen (Denmark).Show More Key responsibilitiesThe information and modeling engineer is responsible for conducting analysis, designing, developing, documenting information models that meet the business needs and ensures efficient and flexible data exchange with external parties.As an information and modeling engineer you will be part of a team performing the following tasks: Design the underlying structure of data for applications including executing and aligning to the data strategy of the organization Architect and design solutions to business requirements in accordance to enterprise applications and technology roadmaps, principles, standards and guidelines Identify, define and model data requirements Perform the transformation of the logical data model to the physical model and resulting database structures Review data requirements from external parties and internal applications and ensure data models are available for efficient data management and data exchanges. Develop guidelines for developers use of a canonical model that bridges the gap between external parties and internal applications, aligning with enterprise information model. Provide assistance and guidance to developers and solution architects to develop solutions that meet business needs. Build strong collaborative relationships with integration engineers, architects, software engineers, testers and analysts. Demonstrate interest in improving the company s data awareness across the business.Show More We are looking forWe are looking for: Experience & Technical SkillsMust have Solid understanding of information and data modeling 5+ years of experience with data models in transportation and logistics domain. 3+ years experience with XML and JSON, understanding schemas 3+ years experience with Seeburger canonical models (SEEXML) Knowledge of EDI standards (ANSI X12 and EDIFACT) Strong analytical skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills (English).Advantage if Experience with Seeburger BIS Experience with Oracle databaseWays of working Very strong communication and collaboration skills Structured and detail oriented Highly analytical mind-set Ability to work independently as well as in a team Highly motivated and work well under pressure Willing to work with new technologies outside of core skillset Fact based and result oriented An individual who respects the opinion of others An individual who understands the agile method and is comfortable performing different roles Flexibility to work outside normal working hours at times to meet global needsShow More,
