Today, NVIDIA is working with over 80 partners that are using our platform in the development of autonomous cars, trucks, shuttles, and taxis.The NVIDIA Automotive Software organization is looking for a Software Engineer to design and develop system level software technologies for computing platforms powering our Autonomous Vehicles AI system. Our team is building these technologies with strong focus on automotive quality, safety and security requirements that will enable building both system level functionalities and real-time capabilities for world-class Autonomous Vehicle software stack.You as a System Software Engineer, will be part of dynamic crew that develops NvStreams technology which is a critical backbone in unifying and building user mode pipelines across heterogeneous software and hardware blocks. You will be a key contributor in building secure and safe NvStreams technology as per ISO26262, which contributes to the critical infrastructure to build core modules for Autonomous driving.What you ll be doing:

  • Working on architecture and development work on NVIDIA SOC and Autonomous driving platforms like NVIDIA DRIVE AGX.
  • You will work closely with security and functional architects to ensure robust, secure design of automotive GPU products.
  • Design and implement features that improve system security across kernel, userspace and virtualization software layers.
  • Lead the development efforts, design methods and tools to discover new vulnerabilities.
  • Drive the assessment of vulnerabilities disclosed by internal and external partners in concert with established PSIRT teams.
  • Participate in design and development of safety certifiable solutions and support development of new technologies.
What we need to see:We believe you are a dynamic self-starter ready to work solo as well as with an excellent team to deliver winning solutions ahead of time. We would like to see your excellent design, programming and debugging skills and in-depth understanding of system architecture.
  • Proven programming background in C/C programming, data structures and coding conventions.
  • Bachelors or Master s degree in Computer/Electronics engineering or related field.
  • At least 5 years of shown experience building and implementing secure software.
  • Comfortable working through sophisticated platform configurations and decomposition of same for threat/risk analysis.
  • Experience in threat modeling and modeling attack-vectors.
  • You are an asset if you have familiarity with computer system architecture, microprocessor, and microcontroller fundamentals (caches, buses, memory controllers, DMA, etc.).
  • Effective written and verbal communication regardless of audience or issue complexity; technical publications are a bonus.
Ways to stand out from the crowd:
  • Familiarity with kernel level security concepts, testing techniques, static code analysis, dynamic analysis, fuzzing, and other techniques.
  • Experience in working with Multithreaded buffer and stream management application.
  • Experience with performance efficient data processing software involving multiple hardware accelerators.
  • Experience with design and development of software complying to functional safety and cybersecurity standards: ISO 26262, J3061, EAL/CC.
  • Experience with architecture/design tools (IBM Rhapsody, Enterprise Architect).
  • Ability to take initiatives and drive them across multiple functional teams.
