Job Description

Design & develop data pipeline for consolidation and migration of several data marts/on-premise data warehouse to AWS Redshift. Design & develop Datawarehouse in AWS Redshift which includes migration and transformational projects, and design large-scale data processing systems, develop data pipelines optimized for scaling, and troubleshoot potential platform issues Design and implementation of star and snow flake schema, fact and dimensional tables, physical and logical data modeling Understand the SQL analytics functions currently implemented in Postgres/Netezza Understanding and working knowledge of any Hadoop distro or AWS ecosystem Define & implement cloud migration strategies from traditional appliance based data warehouse to cloud Use troubleshooting skills and work closely with architects, developers & engineers to ensure successful migration of solution and data to cloud Create AWS EC2 instances using cloud formation stack and align with corporate security policies Ability to work past the normal shift hours for incident management, production stability, etc as required Ability to act as a Tech lead, guide and mentor others in the team. Take ownership of the architecture and drive it to the next level of effectiveness to support current and long term requirementsPrimary Skills (Must Have)

  • 12 overall IT experience with 8 years of relevant experience in Datawarehouse skills
  • AWS service knowledge to develop ETL pipelines for data movement to Redshift, experience to map the source to target rules and fields.
  • Expert in query optimization and execution, large scale data analytics
  • Expert in PL/SQL, modeling and schema design in star and snowflake
  • Expert on a major data warehouse (Teradata, Netezza, Vertica, Redshift)
  • Experience in writing Python scripts for ETL/Data pipeline
  • Exposure with AWS Ecosystem - EC2, Lambda, SQS, SNS, S3, IAM, CF
Secondary Skills (Good to Have)
  • AWS Sol Arch/DevOps certification is a plus
  • DataBricks knowledge is a plus
  • Exposure to Apache Airflow or any other orchestration engine
  • Exposure in Unix/Linux env; Ability to write bash/shell scripts
Qualification & Certifications
  • B.E/BTech degree in Computer Science or related field
  • AWS Sol Arch/DevOps certification is a plus
