About the Role:Category Managers at Amazon have end to end responsibility of the customer experience and growth of the category they have been assigned to. Amazon strives to present its customers with the widest selection of products at the best prices - The Category managers role is to bring in the relevant assortment, design targeted promotions, manage partners including sellers and brandsCategory managers anticipate customer needs and incorporate them into the functional road map and will drive a major change or enhancement for customer experience influencing category needs based on their knowledge of competitive trends in the marketplace and other macro environment data. .The successful candidate for this high impact role will be a self-starter with a passion for independent, creative problem-solving, have proven data analysis skills, demonstrate great voice and content creation chops (i.e. strong writing skills), show strong ownership and commitment, have proven leadership experience in managing projects, and bring relevant insights in marketing and merchandising., An understanding of and passion for e-commerce. Work experience is preferred (6-9 years). Experience in Business, Category Management, trade marketing, National Account management, FMCG Brand and P&L management, Media Management. Excellent written and verbal communication skills Proven negotiation skills, influencing abilities Strong numerical and analytical aptitude Proven experience leading cross-functional projects Ability to think and react in a high-energy, fast-paced environment Good organizational skills including prioritizing, scheduling, time management, and meeting deadlines Detail-oriented Technical aptitude and agility to learn web-based tools Smart, enthusiastic, hard-working, and creative. Innovative, team oriented, and have a desire to participate in change and appreciate a dynamic environment with rapidly changing priorities. Experience in project ownership and using customer data to identify and prioritize opportunities.The position will be based in Amazon s office in Bangalore. Preferred Qualifications MBA/Masters degree is preferred Experience across sales & marketing in consumer goods with a mix of brand and product management
