Job Description

You commit to continual improvement.Position Overview:You will be responsible for maintaining a high-availability 24/7 application through installing, upgrading, configuring, repairing, and monitoring application services and assist with the generation and implementation of automation scripts and tools to improve efficiencyRole Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement infrastructure changes to ensure the privacy and security of client data
  • Measure and improve our test, deployment, and release processes
  • You will keep abreast of technical trends, and develop and incorporate them within our stack as appropriate
  • Will participate in 24x7 on-call rotation and respond to production alerts involving multiple software system components, using a combination of background, experience and established procedures to resolve issues and restore services as quickly as possible
  • You will act as a subject matter expert within our team, teaching and training other team members operational best practices for our applications and services
  • You will work with the development teams to design scalable, robust systems using cloud architecture
  • Build automation using industry tools (like Jenkins, Ansible, etc) to deploy hundreds of different services
  • You will ensure a high degree of availability across all of our service offerings
Basic Qualifications:
  • You have working knowledge of designing system architectures as well as implementing and maintaining those designs
  • Are comfortable using the suite of services AWS provides (AWS VPN, VPC, EC2, S3, ELB, RDS, etc.)
  • You have a strong working knowledge of Networking, VPNs , Microsoft AD, IPsec, MySQL, Scripting, Apache, MySQL, and PHP/Python/Perl, Unix/Linux, and FreeBSD administration and troubleshooting
  • Have 4 or more years relevant work experience
  • You are proficient in one or more cloud providers, including AWS, Azure, GCP
  • Have experience writing applications using C#, Python, or JavaScript
  • Have a degree in Engineering (Preferably Computer Science)
  • Have experience in pushing scalability to the limit with high throughput services
  • You have designed solutions with failure in mind to ensure reliability
  • You enjoy working with a large variety of services and technologies
Additional Qualifications:
  • You have experience in automation and tool development such as Chef, Ansible, or Puppet in production
  • Have experience using the Ubuntu Linux distribution to support production systems
  • You have Set up reliable and easytouse deployment and recovery scripts for use by you and your peers
  • Have set up monitoring systems for availability, load, and performance making actionable recommendations based on that data
  • Have run systems including dynamoDB, mysql, postgres, git, as well as recommending and implementing changes based on problems and potential gains
