Job Description

  • Responsible for planning, development and execution of Sabre s sourcing and procurement plans/activities in India in coordination and alignment with Corporate Procurement in the US. Executes strategic sourcing processes for assigned initiatives and/or categories.
  • Builds and maintains strong working relationships with internal customers and key suppliers. Coordinates across global locations and cross-enterprise sourcing activities. Provides local market and supplier insights to Corporate Procurement and internal stakeholders to influence sourcing strategies, supplier selections and sourcing decisions.
  • Drives cost savings and risk mitigation in sourcing related activities.
  • Leads or facilitates fact-based negotiations and authors complex contracts utilizing approved terms and conditions and possesses the ability to write, edit and finalize contracts with minimal support from Sabre Legal. Gain consensus on acceptable risk levels and contract language with stakeholders including Legal, Risk, Business Unit leadership and others.
  • Performs spend analysis for various categories and identifies sourcing opportunities. Develops and executes plans to capture sourcing opportunities.
Job RequirementsOther responsibilities:Responsible for providing category and contractual context and information in response to queries from internal customers. Works with Procurement Operations to utilize procurement tools and processes as well as provides constructive feedback and participation to improve processes and tools. Has accountability for plans and deadlines. Tracks savings. Escalates issues as and when necessary and appropriate to overcome obstacles. Integrates and works closely with all procurement team members to present a consistent unified procurement function to internal stakeholders and suppliers. Gathers, monitors, interprets and leverages market intelligence data. Coordinates the RFP/bid process including, pre-bid/proposal meetings, walk-throughs, bid openings, bid tabulation and bid reviews. Compiles and analyzes spend data and industry dynamics from multiple sources to support sourcing initiatives. Identifies key risks and timing issues for each negotiation. Ensures scope of work accurately reflect the materials and/or services being sourced with relevant service levels. Helps drive rationalization/standardization of processes, goods and services throughout the global enterprise. Builds cost/evaluation spreadsheets in Excel to facilitate discussions and decisions.Position RequirementsMinimum requirements:Education: A Bachelor s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management or related discipline is required. Masters degree in Business, Supply Chain management or related discipline preferred.Experience / specific knowledge: 5+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, contract management, or supply chain management. Experience in procurement in a technology company preferred. Knowledge of India contract laws and regulations that may impact procurement contracts, supplier markets (especially in services) required. Ability to take large amounts of data from multiple sources and perform analysis in Excel or Access. Ability to write, edit and finalize contracts with minimal support from Sabre Legal. Experience with commercial transactions and negotiation. Must be self-directed, take initiative, and be an out-of-the-box thinker. Must have good communication (written and verbal), organization, problem-solving and interpersonal skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, Outlook, Access, and Power Point. Knowledge of SharePoint, ERP and Contract Management/Purchasing Systems. (SAP and Ariba preferred).Working conditions: International travel may be required on rare occasions,
