The main responsibility of the DBA is to ensure an effective and reliable 24/7 support of database services within the Compass Eco System, to ensure the highest standards of availability, resilience, integrity, security and performance required by the business and systems in order to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the business processes. You will be part of the team Application Management and Compass Platform Management which is responsible for the technical architecture, development and operations of the global Compass (Siebel) CRM Eco system. As DBA you will also act as a contact person who will use his/her knowledge and experience to assist in change, implement and maintain our Databases needed to run this Global CRM Eco system.Main Tasks and Responsibilities: Responsible for ensuring availability and performance of the databases that support the system Provide 24x7 operational monitoring, troubleshooting and problem solution Work with the team to ensure that the associated hardware resources allocated to the databases and to ensure high availability and optimum performance To proactively monitor the database systems to ensure secure services with minimum downtime Design, implement and execute Build & Release processes Responsible for problem escalation to development team and third parties as appropriate Responsible for improvement and maintenance of the databases to include rollout and upgrades Responsible for implementation and release of database changes as submitted by the development team Participate in Disaster Recovery planning and drills, *Skills / Attributes Required:At least 7-10 years of professional experience.University degree or Higher Vocational EducationStrong Oracle Database Administration experience Experience in backuprecovery processes Experience of working in a team that delivers a high availability service Practical experience in monitoring and tuning a database to provide a high availability service Experience of Microsoft SQL Server Knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server Experience in Data Warehouse Databases - OLTP Good communication skills English is our corporate language, German is an asset Service the needs of business partners from beginning to end and taking ownership Analytical thinking with the end customer in mind
