Job Description

Cisco Next Generation Firepower Threat Defence (FTD) is the flagship product from Security Business Group (SBG). FTD integrates aware-willing ASA Firewall services and world best and well-known IPS engine SNORT in to a high- performance appliance. It is a deeply successful product and continue to lead the market with threat centric focus and market differentiating features. We continue to innovate and offer on premises, hybrid and cloud offerings of our flagship products. Though we take phenomenal pride in being market leaders in threat security for long time, we are constantly innovating and improving our solutions to address the ever-changing threat perceptions and changing data security paradigms so that our customers are always secured. Our team works on leading security and threat mitigation solutions that are top-notch, scalable and easily manageable.At present, the FTD team in India is looking for talented and motivated individuals who can work effectively in a team-oriented environment, and contribute to the development and testing of our next-generation Firewall.What you will Do

  • Work with a team of motivated A-players to engage with customers and build creative solutions
  • Provide technical leadership, independently own and design features based on the requirements and own technical decision making.
  • Work with developers and product management teams at different stages such as product starting from idea conceptualization till delivering it to customer

  • Drive/collaborate with other technical leaders/software engineers on system/functional design and architecture, Develop high quality software independently in an Agile environment
  • Architect and Develop challenging portions of software independently and rapidly with a focus on quality in an Agile environment
  • Mentor and lead junior developers in both onshore and offshore locations.
  • Work closely with a cross functional team to design new features
  • Work closely with fellow developers on SW/system architecture
  • Review and sign off on requirements documents
  • Write specification documents and drive sign-off
  • Implement new features and extend existing functionality
Who You Are
  • 10+ year of experience working on security/networking products.
  • Highly motivated and self-starter with very high energy.
  • Strong Networking and protocol knowledge
  • Solid experience in Firewalls and Network Security
  • Programming skills in C
  • Validated experience in protocol, application security, Firewalls and Network Security
  • Experience in
  • VPN/IPSEC/TLS,
  • NAT/PAT
  • Clustering and High availability systems
  • Protocol Inspection Engines
  • IPS, IDS engines
  • Containers, Kubernetes
  • Any L2 to L7 protocol
  • Classification Engines
  • Designing management plane with world class configuration and reporting capabilities
Exposure to
  • Linux environment
  • Protocol Inspection Engines
  • Any L2 to L7 protocol
  • Native Cloud, hybrid cloud security offerings.
  • Virtual, container and Kubernetes exposure
