The main objective of this position is to:
Define and enforce release management practices
Automate build, deployment, configuration and release processes
Identify and implement automation in other software development areas
POSITION OBJECTIVES :
Engage with development teams to document and implement best practices (low maintenance) cloud- native solutions for new products
Development of automation, tooling and monitoring solutions to improve supportability and reduce maintenance overhead
Define and measure key performance metrics, utilizing Data Intelligence
Implement DevOps technologies and processes i.e. containerization, CI/CD, infrastructure as code, metrics, monitoring etc.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Profile description:
Minimum 5 years of experience in Build/Release Management/DevOps area with overall 10 years of experience
Knowledge of modern architectures such as Microservices.
Familiarity with container based and micro- services deployment technologies like Docker and Kubernetes
Ability to work in a Windows and Linux based environment
Knowledge of cloud architecture concepts (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS)
Knowledge of Security Concepts (PenTest, Vulnerability analysis)
Familiarity with version control system concepts (Git)
Knowledge of testing principles
At least one DevOps implementation experience using Azure DevOps/VSTS
Exposure to Azure Artifacts, Azure Boards, Azure Test plans
Good experience/understanding of branching and merging strategies
Demonstrated ability to automate tasks with scripts (preferably powershell) and code.
Good experience in working with .NET/Angular
Configuration of automated builds using tools MS Build.
Comfortable with frequent, incremental code, testing and deployment.
Develops code/scripts that adheres to standards and procedures
Understanding of test automation tools and skilled in executing automated testing of applications
Basic skills with application server and DB server management
Understanding of the importance of automated code analysis and code review and code quality tool such as SonarQube.
CI/CD pipeline using Azure DevOps pipeline/VSTS.
Experience in at at least one of the Monitoring tools (Splunk, ELK, DynaTrace or similar)
Good understanding of tools/Tech Stacks such as Puppet, Chef, Urban Code Deploy, OpenShift
Requirements:
