Job Description

Manage a team that designs, develops, troubleshoots and debugs software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.As a manager of the software engineering division, you will apply your knowledge of software architecture to manage software development tasks associated with developing, debugging or designing software applications, operating systems and databases according to provided design specifications. Build enhancements within an existing software architecture and suggest improvements to the architecture.Manages and controls activities in multi-functional areas of sections. Ensures appropriate operational planning is effectively executed to meet Corporate specifications. Demonstrated leadership and people management skills. Strong communication skills, analytical skills, thorough understanding of product development. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 4 years of software engineering or related experience.,

  • Excellent problem-solvingtroubleshooting skills
  • A strong focus and understanding of continuous improvement
  • 4-8 years professional experience as a DevOps manager
  • Experience managing operational issues
  • Experience with Cloud Native Platforms including Kubernetes, Open Shift, Docker Enterprise, or Cloud Foundry in the public cloud
  • Experience with IaC (Infrastructure as Code)
  • Experience with common configuration management tools such as: Ansible, Puppet, or Chef
  • Strong understanding and experience working with Unix and Linux operating systems; specifically troubleshooting and providing administration
  • Experience with operating messaging queues such as Kafka, RabbitMQ
  • Experience with heavy system automation/scripting (Python)
  • Familiarity with micro services development
  • Proficiency in monitoring and logging tools such as ELK Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, and Kibana)
  • Knowledge of IP networking, VPN, DNS, load balancing and firewalls
  • Solid experience with Java/open source stacks, as well as common frameworks and infrastructure
  • Ability to influence across boundaries and at all levels of the organization
  • Ability to create a fun, fast paced, motivating and rewarding environment for their teams and the organization
  • Ability to attract, build and retain a highly engaged and capable development teams that can deliver on our technology and business strategies
  • Strong people management skills: attracting, retaining, inspiring and growing individuals; demonstrate a passion for people development and mobility
