We support UN-Habitat with knowledge and expertise to improve the quality of life in rapidly growing cities around the world.We are now recruiting talented individuals to fill our current vacancy for Senior Engineer - Civils to work on our projects in Bangalore.To be considered for a role we are seeking candidates with the following credentials:, Qualification & Experience: 8-12 years relevant experience in design of water supply, sewerage & storm water drainage systems. Registered or accredited professional.Principal Duties & Key Responsibilities; Managing selected projects (or components of projects) for Water Civils team. Managing the production and verification of analysis and design, including drawings and reports, relating to projects. Taking responsibility for technical resource allocation, quality assurance and client feedback and ensuring effective communication of any changes/ modifications. Proactively engaging with various Arcadis Regional offices/ teams regarding safe design requirements, and flag risks at appropriate levels. Resolving issues and create strong relationships with project colleagues in the regions, evidenced through great feedback. Developing technical methodologies which add value to the scope from other Arcadis Regions, and guiding junior colleagues to do the same Reviewing work and drive the culture of checking and accountability in the team, including interdisciplinary checks Liaising and assisting the project manager to ensure commercial aspects relating to the design team can achieve a successful result. Developing plans and budgets for medium-size and / or complex tasks and monitor progress against these. Identifying opportunities and driving implementation of re-engineering strategies to maximize the value of design input. Working in collaboration with other design disciplines to ensure the integrity of the overall design. Providing technical advice to project team members. Handle multiple management responsibilities, overseeing the work and / or development of multiple colleagues working on complex projects in a single discipline. Design Health & Safety management for the project works.Required Competencies; Application of Standards and managing resources. Knowledge of relevant British Standards is preferable. Demonstrated ability to lead, with good influencing, motivating and delegation skills. Strong command of BIM / digital / data analytics software as applicable. Demonstrated delivery acumen. Experience in civil design, specifications, drawings and BIM models for large scale projects related to,a. Water and wastewater conveyance systems,b. Pumping stations and other related structures,c. Intakes and outfalls,d. Treatment plants,e. Drainage systems,f. Flood protection facilities,g. Hydraulic design related to above. Experience of delivering designs and reports at all stages from concept through to final project and construction delivery.Software Knowledge:Experience on working with the following design software s is requiredSewerCAD, WaterCAD/WaterGem, InfoWorks CS application on project design is added advantages.
