Senior Functional Engineer - TPM Job DescriptionThe TPM Sr. Functional Engineer is responsible for integrating business, information, and technology architecture to create solutions primarily for Trade Promotion Management and Optimization and in some cases for Revenue Growth Management and in some cases, cross capability areas.The Sr. Functional Engineer is responsible for analysis, design, configuration, customization, testing, deployment and support for applications within Trade Promotion area. The role collaborates with IT Business Partners, other Functional Consultants, Business/functional subject matter experts, Solution Engineers, Enterprise Architects and Analytics Designers.Demonstrates strong credentials in design, development and testing of IT solutions. Will provide work direction/general guidance to other team members as a senior functional resource. The Sr. Functional Engineer is viewed as an expert in Trade Promotion Management/Optimization concepts.Scope/CategoriesThe role will report to the Global Platform Product Manager for TPM. The role will not have any direct reports.Key Interfaces: Regional Business Partners, Regional Business SMEs, Functional Consultants, Solution Engineers, Enterprise Architects, Data & Analytics team, and Project Managers.External Interfaces: Consultants, 3rd Party providers. Travel may include approximately 15% of work time.The scope is Global with all KC categories for the sales and TPM / RGM functions.Key Accountabilities

• Senior Functional resource for the program for Implementation of TPM and CBP in EMEA to begin with other regions likely to follow.
• Understand business priorities (product and services), business operations, culture and policies. Translate the strategic direction and business objectives established by customers into holistic digital, technology, change management and organization strategies.
• Gather, Analyse and document functional and non-functional requirements using industry standard templates and processes.
• Plan and conduct business process definition workshops along with product manager, business partners and relevant business teams.
• Prepare process flow diagrams to document business processes and articulate accompanying commentary which goes into business requirement documents.
• Work with other teams to prepare Integration specifications for manual or automated interfaces and achieve consensus with respective teams.
• Capture nonfunctional requirements by collaborating with solution engineers, architects, and other technical team members.
• Prepare functional test scenarios and system test cases corresponding to the business process and which form the basis for detailed test cases.
• Work closely with the technical team during design and build to provide functional inputs and clarifications. Update functional documentation as and when required during the life cycle.
• Carry out functional testing for the solution based on designed test scenarios and cases and coordinate with development team to get bugs fixed. Document identified enhancements with proper classification for subsequent solution versions.
• Review requirements documented by other functional engineers and ensure required quality is maintained in terms of coverage, completeness, and articulation of requirements.
• Mentor and groom junior functional resources in TPM and as functional consultants in general.
• Prescriptive problem solving with the business by providing options and recommendations to help make the right business decisions
• Translates non-functional and functional requirements into end-to-end trade promotion management solution which integrates effectively with other areas like SAP ECC SD / Pricing / FICO, Demand Planning, Infrastructure, Platform, Security & audit / Controls
• Drive a rigorous approach leveraging NexGen Digital Enablers including Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Agile, APIs, RPA, etc. to solve problems in the context of growing Kimberly Clark brands, increasing sales, and enabling operational excellence. Performs leading-edge work and develops new approaches/solutions to answer business questions.
• Collaborate with product vendors to influence product roadmaps and delivery of features based on agreed SLAs and pricing models
• Build relationships with internal and external service providers and support teams to ensure operating efficiency and stability
• Perform regional customer follow-up and maintain healthy customer satisfaction scores (RGM and IME user and champions)
• Participant in industry representation, policy formation, User Groups, and strategic direction. Articulate POVs and white papers related to TPM and functional consulting and get them published.
• Help in maintaining enhancement request and their lifecycle via the defined change management process.
• Prepare impact analysis documents for enhancements and assist technical team in coming up with technical impact assessment.
• Update requirements documentation for enhancements and author new documents if required.
• Maintain traceability matrix for requirements by coordinating with technical and testing teams and ensure its always updated

Key Qualifications and Experiences

• Bachelors degree; 10 years of continuous experience as a Business Analyst or Functional Consultant in with at least 8 years experience only in TPM (strong preference for SAP TPM / CBP)
• Brings Trade Management expertise (SAP TPM, CBP, CRM, ECC, BW, IMP /PAK) expertise to the team
• At least one implementation of SAP TPM CBP is an absolute must
• Must have prior experience in functionally designing and building an SAP TPM solution and integration with ERP & Demand Planning. Brings experience of configuration for spend, promotion types & their impact on overall design
• Must have end-to-end knowledge of customer planning and Trade promotion management processes including integration with SAP ERP and Demand planning and strong knowledge of underlying architecture of SAP TPM and CBP
• Experience in complex SAP environments, including integrations w/ SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA
• Strong CPG background is desired (at industry or as consultant).
• Hands-on delivery experience in Trade Promotion Management (TPM), Trade Promotion Optimization (TPO), Revenue Management (RM) and related Analytics, and Pricing/Price optimization. This includes implementation of applications such as SAP TPM, SAP CRM, SAP SD, SAP FSCM, as well as capabilities for Revenue Management and/or Pricing.
• Experience leading IT projects and/or programs with strong full life cycle using multiple methodologies including in SAP TPM/CBP
• Ability to operate in a digital workplace utilizing modern technologies to connect, collaborate, communicate, and co-operate across a global organization and across organizational boundaries.
• Experience leading IT projects and/or programs with strong SDLC experience including Agile/Waterfall methodologies. Exposure to Agile fundamentals and able to lead key ceremonies. Act as Scrum Master or Product Owner for a team, following all standard work practices.
• Strong fundamentals in requirements elicitation, gathering, analysis and documentation for IT projects.
• Experience in framing nonfunctional requirements for IT solutions.
• Exposure to IT solutions which have manual or automated interfaces with other systems to exchange data. Have good conceptual understanding of interfaces, uploads, and middleware.
• Strong experience in designing test scenarios based on business processes and functional requirements
• Hand on experience of system testing, integration testing and manual performance testing
• Has strong leadership skills and exhibit creative thinking to be able to come up with inventive solutions to solve business challenges.
• Understanding of functional aspects within the Trade Promotion Management, Revenue Management, and Strategic Pricing capability area, and ability to do hands-on technical work.
• Understands how to coordinate the flow of work between agile teams and more traditional project-based teams.
• Self-motivated to keep up with industry trends and disseminating information across the organization.
• Experience working with blended teams consisting of employees, vendors, and consultants with both onshore and offshore resources.
• Verbal and written fluency in English is mandatory. Ability to work in a virtual team which may work across distance (remote), cultures and time zones, in a matrix with multiple reporting lines.
