Senior IT Asset Management Specialist

Job Description

As an IT Asset Manager, your role will involve maintaining an accurate and up-to-date inventory of all hardware assets, such as computers, servers, networking equipment, and peripherals. This includes capturing details like make, model, serial number, specifications, and location. You will be responsible for asset allocation and dispatch requests, ensuring that confirmation mails are received from the respective person for proof along with signed asset release forms. Utilizing SolarWinds Asset Management tools, you will continuously optimize their use to enhance asset management processes. Generating and analyzing reports using these tools will provide insights into asset utilization and performance. Additionally, you will retrieve old assets from users when they are replaced with new assets and provide user training on proper handling and care of hardware assets, offering support for hardware-related issues including troubleshooting and repairs.Your qualifications should include a Bachelors degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field, along with at least 5 years of experience in IT Asset Management System. Proficiency in managing the entire lifecycle of IT assets from procurement to disposal is required, as well as experience with IT asset management software such as SolarWinds Asset Management tool, Strong Excel Knowledge, and Basic BI. Knowledge of software licensing agreements, compliance, and auditing is essential, along with skills in budgeting, cost analysis, and financial planning related to IT assets. You should also have the ability to collaborate with various stakeholders, including IT teams, finance, procurement, and senior management.In summary, as an IT Asset Manager, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and optimizing the organizations hardware assets, ensuring compliance with software licensing agreements, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to manage budgets for hardware acquisition and maintenance.
