Salesforce is investing heavily to disrupt the multi-billion dollar Service market, this opportunity puts you at the heart of that effort.Service Einstein is establishing a new group in the Salesforce India hub and this will be the first product team in this location. We are looking for Senior engineers to establish and lead our software engineering team. We need someone who is technically strong, highly collaborative and passionate about the product and our customers. You will deliver application code that is used by thousands of end users, delivering millions of predictions at scale. Our software engineers ship applications written in the enterprise Java stack on the core platform and on our AI/Machine learning platform. We work in a highly collaborative environment, and you will liase with a highly cross functional team comprised of Data Scientists, Software Engineers, Machine learning engineers, UX experts, product managers to build AI Apps. We value execution, transparent communication, feedback and making learning fun. Required Skills:
• Deep understanding of object-oriented design and programming concepts, and experience with Java.
• Good understanding in either frontend (web technologies, such as HTTP, JavaScript, AJAX, HTML, DHTML, CSS, aura) or backend (Salesforce core, udd, connect-api, tooling-api) client-server web platforms.
• Solid knowledge of SQL and understanding of relational databases.
• 5 years of experience building highly scalable customer facing web applications
• Experience building Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) applications.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Bachelors degree in Computer Sciences or equivalent field, plus 5 years of relevant experience in the job offered, or as a Lead/Senior Member of Technical Staff or related software development occupation.
Preferred Skills:
• Familiarity with Salesforce Core technology (UDD, APIs, Packaging, Core Security Model, etc.) by way of designing, developing and releasing several large scale initiatives built on Salesforce s Core technology.
• Solid experience in API development, API lifecycle management and/or client SDKs development
• Familiarity with Data model design, database technologies (RDBMS & NoSQL), and languages such as SQL and PL/SQL
• Experience with machine learning or cloud technologies like AWS sagemaker, terraform, spinnaker, EKS, GKE
• Experience with data engineering, data pipelines or distributed systems
• Experience with Agile development methodologies, pair programming, continuous integration (CI) and continuous deployment (CD)
• Ability to support/resolve production customer escalations with excellent debugging and problem solving skills
• Prior experience working with a global team
• Masters degree in Computer Sciences or equivalent field.
Your Impact:
• Independently designs and delivers code for products and features.
• Provides oversight through code and design reviews for features delivered by other developers within their scrum team.
• Partners closely with Product and Design to evaluate and scrutinize requirements that have cross-team/cross-cloud impact.
• Actively influences management regarding tools, technology and testing requirements.
• May influence architecture, quality strategy, product, and process across clouds
• Conducts tool selection and/or modification.
• A subject matter expert for a technology or feature area
• Develop test plans and test automation for features and/or products
• Verifies quality of the code delivered through manual and automated testing. Extends the automation framework where necessary.
• Works closely with senior developers, Q3, PM, and UX to ensure their features are delivered to meet business and quality requirements
• Writes code for most areas of product.
• Troubleshoot production issues.
