Job Description

• Mercedes-Benz Research and Development, India is seeking a Senior Program Manager who has a proven leadership experience & track record of managing global automotive Electrical/Electronic Powertrain Digital Validation in Hardware in loop (HiL)

Education

• Bachelors or Masters of Engineering in Mechatronics, Electrical or Electronics stream

Experience

• 12-16 years of experience in Powertrain Hardware in Loop (HiL) Plant modeling and simulation

Job Responsibilities

• Lead the Powertrain Hardware in Loop (HiL) Plant Modeling and simulation team for digital validation
• Ensure the commissioning of the Plant models for Battery, Engine and Network modeling for the V cycle testing and software releases
• Lead the commissioning of the dSPACE HiL Hardware
• Coordinate with various stakeholders (internal and external)
• Responsible for People management & career development of the team
• Act as a first point of escalation for all project & business related queries
• As a part of leadership team, ensure alignment & implement project strategy in line with organization strategy
• Lead cross functional activities & collaborate with leadership team as needed
• Flexible to travel globally based on business need to participate in various supplier discussions, technical and management discussions

Skills Required

• Extensive experience in automotive electronics/electrical Powertrain hardware in loop (HiL) modeling in an OEM or Tier-1/2 environment
• Powertrain expertise in Battery and Engine and Network plant modeling, preferably in Matlab/ Simulink and dSPACE tool chain
• Good understanding of functionality of Engine and Battery ECUs
• Good understanding of HiL testing and exposure to various HiL test tools
• Atleast 3 -4 years of experience in people management, managing high complexity projects and diverse teams
• Advantage to global working experience
• Ability to intervene and resolve conflicts technical, people and strategy
• Experience working with global /local teams
• Good experience of various quality standards & practices for Powertrain HiL
• Demonstrates good business acumen & strong inter-personal skills
• Knowledge of German language is highly desirable
