Senior Manager (I / II) - Category Marketing (Groceries)About usFlipkart Supermart is Flipkarts first online grocery supermarket, in a store-in-store format. Currently launched in 5 cities - Bangalore, Hyderabad, Chennai, Delhi-NCR & Mumbai. Join a team obsessed with providing best value to the customers on monthly grocery shopping, progressively shaping the business and industry evolution through consistent learning & experimentation.As Flipkart Supermart expands to the next set of mini-metros and tier 1 cities, we are seeking a Senior Manager, category marketing for the Grocery category to drive the next leg of Supermart s growth.Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Senior Manager, category marketing, you d own the key category metrics of Gross Merchandising Value (GMV), Orders per day (OPD) and Average Order Value (AOV). An ideal candidate would be passionate about consumer internet and excited about the online retail ecosystem in India.

  • Own the key customer metrics of GMV, OPD and AOV for a cluster of cities
  • Lead demand planning - preparation, execution and delivery of demand plan for each city
  • Manage the traffic funnel and complete buying journey to ensure superior customer experience; work closely with cross-functional teams within Supermart to enable this
  • Innovate & iterate on various customer constructs to improve the business
  • Strong business ownership & value creation - enjoy delivering results & coming up with incremental growth levers for the category
Requirements of the role
  • Experience in category marketing or P&L management or business operations role in consumer internet companies
  • MBA from Tier 1 college or equivalent
Key competencies
  • Strong analytical skills, ability to look at problems holistically and use of data to drive problem solving
  • Program management skills, interpersonal communication, ability to work with multiple cross-functional teams and drive consensus
  • High ownership,proactive, self-starter & all hands on deck attitude
  • Passionate about consumer internet and online grocery; ability to drive consumer centric analysis
