  1. Providing strategic advice and direction on privacy issues across the organization
  1. Developing, implementing and driving organizations privacy projects and strategies and managing privacy compliance programs.
  2. Working with internal stakeholders to ensure their support of and alignment with the organizational privacy programme s objectives and requirements
  3. Monitoring developments in regulatory and legislative change and best practice and advising the wider organization on necessary organizational changes required
  4. Driving awareness and accountability throughout the organization toward greater business transparency and reinforcing trust from customers, business partners and consumers
  5. Proactively identifying, evaluating and managing risks in a way that enables the company to deliver sustainable business growth
  6. Reviewing and negotiating contractual arrangements with customers, partners and vendors, as a resource and escalation point on data privacy matters for colleagues across Flipkart
  7. Supporting growth of new business opportunities by analysing privacy implications of new products and services and providing guidance on minimising privacy compliance risk
  8. Developing and conducting privacy impact and risk assessments
  9. Regularly reviewing and evaluating compliance processes to guarantee best practice across all areas of the organisation ensuring appropriate monitoring and auditing processes are effectively implemented
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Law graduate with a minimum 5 years experience in a top law firm and/or in-house legal department with a Technology/Product/ E-commerce organization
  • Professional Credentials such as CIPP/APAC, CIPM, DCPP will have an advantage
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and strong background in information security and technology
  • Detail and process oriented, thought leader and well versed with latest trends
  • Self-starter and able to work independently
  • Experience to operate within an international environment with a diversity of cultures
  • Fluent in English, both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to balance legal risks with commercial needs
