Job Description

Strategy

  • Risk Appetite analysis, Economic Capital and portfolio analysis; and
  • To support the team s agenda to enhance the Group s Risk Appetite Framework making use of stress testing inform RA.
Business
  • Provide impact analysis on proposed RA metrics as part of annual review of the Risk Appetite Statement;
  • Support embedding of the RA approach specifically in strengthening the link between stress testing and risk appetite;
  • Provide deep dive portfolio analysis to challenge risk appetite thresholds and portfolio level limits;
  • Assist with monitoring Risk-Return metrics to ensure business is growing as per the bank s RA;
  • Support Group and Country ICAAP by providing Economic Capital output
  • Provide ad hoc analytical support for senior management; and
  • Assist with analysis as and when requested for Group level committee papers.
Processes
  • Ensure Economic Capital is adequately captured, monitored and reported within the Operational Risk Framework.
People and Talent
  • Establish good working relationships with key stakeholders within and outside or risk.
Risk Management
  • Support the development of models and analytical solutions to assess concentrations, correlations and emerging risks in the portfolio;
  • Responsible for running of Group s Credit Economic Capital (CEC) engine and providing analysis from CEC as and when required;
  • Provide analytical support for senior management and perform analysis as and when requested for Group level committee papers; and
  • Support implementation of automated RA monitoring.
Governance
  • Ensure controls arounds Economic Capital monitoring and RA reporting.

  • Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group s Values and Code of Conduct.
  • Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.
  • Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.
Key Stakeholders
  • Wider ERM function (e.g. Stress Testing, Portfolio Risk and Reporting)
  • Risk Framework Owner teams
  • Business; and Finance.
Other Responsibilities
  • Develop models and analytical solutions to assess concentrations, correlations and emerging risks in the portfolio.
Our Ideal Candidate
  • 5-7 years of experience in risk analytics, reporting, modelling or risk appetite analysis;
  • Experience and knowledge of Risk Appetite development and risk assessment;
  • Strong creativity, problem-solving and analytical abilities;
  • Excellent inter-personal skills; comfortable in building relationships across teams, with outstanding written and oral communication skills;
  • Strong analytical and data interpretation skills;
