Job Description

    Job Description1. Review and update supply chain practices in accordance with new or changing environmental policies,standards, regulations, or laws2. Manage activities related to strategic or tactical purchasing, material requirements planning,inventory control, warehousing and receiving3. Negotiate prices and terms with suppliers, vendors, or freight forwarders4. Monitor forecasts and quotas to identify changes or to determine their effect on supply chainactivities5. Ensure timely and accurate order booking, follow up for timely delivery through rail / road / air6. Conduct demand forecasting analysis for on time Stock replenishment7. Inventory and warehouse management to track stock ageing and ensure storage of material in a safeenvironment8. Build a robust network of logistics to ensure accurate && timley dispatch, ensure timely sharing ofdispatch details with stakeholders and perform stock reconciliation9. Select transportation routes to maximize economy by combining dispatch schedules or consolidatingwarehousing and distribution; ensure lowest transportation rates10. Analyze inventories to determine how to increase inventory turns, reduce waste and optimizeservice delivery11. Implement new or improved supply chain processes12. Define performance metrics for measurement, comparison, or evaluation of supply chain factors,such as On Time Performance13. Develop procedures for coordination of supply chain management with other functional areas -Operations, Marketing, Finance, Quality Assurance14. Identify opportunities for cost rationalization and implement measures to enhance overallprofitability15.
