This in turn helps us to provide better support to our broad client base.JOB PURPOSE:To independently assess the valuation of investments held by the bank s Principal Finance and Strategic Investments businesses.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Carry out independent fair valuation of private equity investments at quarter-end reporting for the bank s Principal Finance and Strategic Investments portfolio.2. Assist on model enhancements to various valuation techniques applied.3. Perform in-depth analysis with regards to appropriate valuation methodologies, investees earnings forecasts / projections, etc., and challenge / analyse the underlying assumptions used in the fair valuation.4. Be familiar with Bloomberg / Reuters and other external vendor services pricing.5. Prepare summary weekly reports on listed investments for internal stakeholders.6. Prepare summary quarterly reports for senior management / valuation discussion forum.7. Liaise and co-ordinate with various stakeholders, both internal (PC, Internal Auditor, Country Finance, Front Office) and external (External Auditor), and provide full support as part of the quarterly reporting requirement.8. Assist in calculating the Prudent Valuation Adjustments as part of the quarterly reporting requirement.9. Perform research to stay updated on the latest market practices.10. Follow and monitor closely news flows / key development / significant movements of the portfolio of investmentsKEY RELATIONSHIPS Internal:

CONTRIBUTES TO: 1. A first class Finance / Valuation Control division, which continually seeks to challenge and improve standards.2. Positioning of Valuation Control as a more business focused function with a strong understanding of the business and its drivers.3. Ensuring a strong internal control environment.AUTHORITIES:1. As appropriate when managing direct report(s).2. As delegated by the Head - Corporate Finance & Loan Syndications PC / Head of FXRC Valuation ControlJUDGEMENT/ COMPLEXITY:1. Strong sense of integrity and financial independence is required.2. Detailed product knowledge, fully conversant with industry and accounting issues, valuation techniques, liquidity and risk issues etc.KNOW HOW AND EXPERIENCE: 1. 5-7 years of experience within the financial industry (preferably related to private equity, investment banking or business valuations).2. University degree level, preferably Finance / Business / Accounting or similar3. CA, CFA equivalent qualification preferred.4. Strong financial modelling skills (MS Excel).5. Ability to work under constant pressure to tight deadlines and deliver high quality output.6. Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate at all levels both written and oral.7.
